I think my UK market F10 must be different to yours, the procedure on mine is, switch the ignition on (but not starting the car) then press the start button again then push the stalk up and hey presto.

That’s strange, I know there are differences (like you can lower your windows with the remote and we can’t), but I didn’t think it would be different for something like windshield wipers.

​@@SimpleCarGuy Hi, just wanted to let you know that you can lower your windows and open the sunroof with the remote. All BMWs have this feature. It worked on my 2001 BWM 325ix and 2011 550i M Sport. Press the UNLOCK button on your fob and hold it pressed for 5+ seconds. Your bimmer windows will start rolling down. You can roll the windows down to any position, the longer you hold the button pressed, the lower the windows will go down. After the windows go down, next, the sunroof will open up. If you quit pressing the button and the windows didn't go down all the way, just resume pressing and holding for 5+ seconds, windows will continue down. Play around, just roll the windows down only or the sunroof as well. This is a great feature for cooling the interior before getting in when the hot sun is out.

Had the same issue with my F10 here (Australia) - had to press the start button twice before this worked. Weird. Maybe an option you can play with in Bimmercode - what the rationale is for this difference is anyones guess. But thanks for the video - I now have new wiper blades fitted

Helpful, thank you what some people don’t realize is all the filler stuff you have to throw away ( comes with the wiper blades)

Thanks I was have the same issue get the wipers up

On my f11, I just push lewer down once when the car is turned off and wipers go in the same position 😅 it is LCI, maybe that is the reason for different way

You have to switch on the ignition, then switch off the ignition amd then do this trick.

It'd be the same one as I have in the description. If they don't have Amazon in your country, you can get the measurements from there.

Helpful hint to anyone this didn’t work for… like me…. You have to stop the engine, turn it on and then push it off again. NOW… the 3-10 second thing will work.

It has to have the correct connector. It’s not the standard j hook one. I have links in the description to the ones that will fit.

Be careful when doing this. The wiper arm will snap back and crack the windshield if you let it slip from your hand

Yes, I do. They have been excellent since I’ve put them on and have gone through one winter. Still no streaks and a clean wipe each time.

Mine also, when off ignition the wipers still go up when trying to hold it and just dont stop whipping.
