How to Change Treble Hooks with Split Ring Pliers

Hey guys!
In this video I show you how to swap out the old treble hooks on your bait with new treble hooks. In order to do this effectively, I recommend you use a pair of split ring pliers. (they were designed for this application). After you do this a few times, you'll realize it doesn't take long at all to swap out the treble hooks on your bait. I've linked a pair of pliers further down in the description as well.

I have a pair of the same pliers and i grinded down the end with the hook on it and they work a whole lot better now. Great show man.

In my opinion, the original hooks were better than the ones you swapped them out for, but hey, the demo was good!

Man I swear by the g-finesse hooks. I won a lot of money on them this year and will continue to use them unless I run into issues!
There has to be a easier way. Did they invent a new thing yet? Like a safety pin easy unhook ring?
I like your video but think the hooks on those baits are stupid sharp and sticky. Plus they are perfectly weighted already. I fished mostly Gamis too but feel those megabass hooks are crazy sticky! Thanks

Yeah those mega bass hooks are crazy sticky. It’s more of a confidence thing for me. Last season the g finesse treated me really well so I’m just going to stick with them

Honestly I google it and odds are someone has discussed it on forums somewhere. Otherwise you can KZread the bait you want to switch out and try to find a pro recommending aftermarket hooks
