Thanks for the video, man. Not a hard procedure, but it is reassuring to be able to see how it's done before disabling my own car.

Which transmission fluid did you use? I hope it was not the Valvoline Import (Blue Quart Bottle). Because that is Hyundai/Kia SP-III. You should use the Max life red Valvoline bottle. That is compatible with SP-IV. Your car calls for SP-IV if I am not wrong. SP-III are thicker fluids. SP-IV are thinner fuel efficient fluids. Please confirm this and make sure you used the right fluid :)

How often do you change transmission fluid and what type do you use? I've read to use the Hyundai SP-IV fluid but it's so expensive. Thanks for the vid!

Great video man. I need to change the trans fluid on my '12 Elantra and I had a couple questions. After how many miles did you change the fluid? Mine is over 120k right now. And did changing the fluid cause you to start slipping gears? I know that's a risk if you wait too long before changing the fluid.

I dont understand why they chose to use screws to keep the guard on instead of clamps. clamps would be so much easier to remove and replace.

My fluid was just as dark, I didnt want to do any damage so I just put it back. I have 120k miles in 2 years and it has never had the fluid changed. Did you experience any issues after this change?
