Thanks for the tip, in the past I've always pulled the fuel tank back a little bit , but I guess I didn't need to do that after all. I do use the fiber air filters though, they are reusable after cleaning

Thanks for the comment. Never tried the fiber cloth air filter . But i guess If you don’t ride a lot off road and avoid thin dust, you should be fine with it.all the best! It saves a lot of money as Honda’s filter price is unjustifiable. all the best!

Many thanks for your comment. Glad to know my tutorial was of some use . Hope it makes your servicing a bit easier. After my next trip, I’ll probably change the coolant and the brake fluids. Perhaps check valve adjustments too, which is part of the 24000km service, eventhough probably not neeeded. All the best!

Thanks for the tip. I prefer to remove it because it allows more space for cleaning the air box. But you’re right. best regard!

An odd but understandable sort of design wish, check out a Kenworth W900. Note the dual air breathers on the OUTSIDE? By the cab doors? Lol would be interesting design aesthetic if bikes had that feature. Would look kind of cool.

The airfilter difficulty of access is a drawback of the Africa Twin. I pretty much understand the air intake being located at the top as it is more efficient and avoids dirt from wheels etc. But they should have made the removal a bit easier. If you have the crash guards it takes at least 30 minutes to disassemble and assemble. Best regards!

Any suggestion for air temperature sensor transfer somewhere else ? Great videos, thanks for sharing!

The air temperature sensor is located above the radiator lid. do you mean placing it somewhere else or repair it?

  • @georgep.2169

@@MrLuk78 placing it somewhere else , eliminating wrong indicator , because of radiator heat.

Got it. Never watched a video on this. maybe because it is not the most advisable thing to do. If your sensor is behaving erratically, have you tried flushing and cleaning your cooling system before trying to move the sensor somewhere else? . Not sure , but I think moving it might impact to maintain the engine temperature at the required levels ,thus possibly causing some sort of damage and impacting on fuel consumption. You can do some checks on the sensor using a voltimeter to check whether is the real issue. Hope it helps!

Translation may not be good. If you mean the front sprocket bolt (drive sprocket) the torque is 54Nm. The rear sprocket (driven sprocket ) is 100

Unscrew the 2 screws of the filter. Pull a little bit out the filter on the side of the filterscrews. This allows you to get space to pull out the filterbox. I have sacrificed and bended one screwdriver

thanks for the extra tip. I’ll try it next time . In order to do with a screwdriver, it needs to be a long one and strong so that you can use as leverage. You just place at the bottom, close to the pins, and pull outwards at the same time you pull the box cover. It works fine and very straightforward once you get it right. But this airbox is ideed a pain to remove at the first time. I suppose you have to find your own way to make it work. All the best!
