Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hey guys, in this video we are going to have Jay Clark from Dirt Bike TV show us how to change dirt bike tire like a pro. He has been working with Dunlop for a years changing thousands of dirt bike tires. This is very good technique how to change dirt bike tire, I have to admit that changing a tire on my dirt bike wasn't my favorite thing to do. ;) Hope this video will help you guys to get few tips and change your dirtbike tire easier than before.

Watching Jay's videos and using his techniques have helped me to greatly save time and avoid pinching the tube. Nothing more frustrating then getting it back together and the tube won't hold air. Because of his videos changing a tire has gone from something I used to dread to not a big deal now. The more tires you change, the easier it becomes. His videos are always informative and I think he some of the best tire changing and tech videos on the internet.

Great video. It's just experience and technique. I watched a Bridgestone tech's video and even I managed to put on a set of tires on black rims with no pinches or scratches. As he said, if it's hard, you're doing something wrong. FYI, 2 or 3 pre installed spoons at the end of the installation makes it easier to pull on that final bit. Otherwise, getting a spoon in gets tight. Pushing the tire down in the valley of the rim helps too. Cheers Rado. PS: setting the tire out in the sun helps too.

Yea I've found the key is finishing at the bead buddy and I like to use at least 2 to keep the tire down. I was struggling try to keep the tire on with irons on both sides then meeting together. Basically starting about a quarter to the left of the rim lock, put in bead buddy then going to the right get over the rim lock then when I get opposite of bead buddy add another bead buddy then i'm finishing with both sides of the "last bite" with bead keeping one side from lifting on me.

The only experience I have replacing tires was a rear on a PW50. Goodness that gave me a lot of work. I got it done, but I destroyed the tire that I was removing with improper technique. I now know to be conscious of getting the tire in the "well" on the opposite site that you are working, to give you that little bit of flexibility.

@@dirtniron I just changed the front tire on the KX85. Taking it off ended up being not too bad. Then putting the new one on was giving me fits. After it was a good way on, I aborted, because I realized that I was stuck. I knew what I wanted to do differently. I kept having flashbacks to all the tire installation videos that I've seen lately, one of them being a Transworld video for Bike Bandit by Steve Matthes. I could feel myself making progress and getting close, and kept hearing Matthes saying little bites, little bites, which got me oh so close, but I could no longer use the irons, and then remember Matthes saying to do the last part by hand, and BOOM ...... I did it. I was sweating bullets, but felt so satisfying. Knee pads would have helped, cause those side knobbies were digging into my knees. The best part was that the tire is uni-directional, and I didn't screw that up, cause I do not want to do it again.
