+ a small hole could have really been designed for it, then it would be easier to fit it in place with a flat head screwdriver ;)

what is the that tool you use? Is it a torque wrench? I have skoda superb ii and I couldn't find any suitable tool to reach that last screw on the deep bottom!

please help! My golf 7 1.6 tdi 105 bhp has OEM 7 year old varta battery 68ah 680 cca amg type. Start/stop turned off. Can I upgrade my old battery to efb without any further issues? Some say fuel consumptioom may rise and som systems may fail to function. Is that true or is it safe to buy cheaper efb battery for my golf?

if you had agm original then use agm. agm is upgrade for efb. also coding is required after first changing.

Škoda, že vám tam nespadl "někam" ten šroub na uchycení, mě by tam určitě spadl a to několikrát, rád bych viděl ten výlov. Tu baterii jste museli znovu vyndat mimo kameru a dát tam ten obal co je kolem baterie, žé? To už člověk sám neudělá nic, ani takovou prkotinu, že se pak musí něco nastavit jsem slyšel.

Event a different battery model, it is NOT necessary to code. I tested on my car. Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 2013.

Can you put a normal battery in AGM car. I have a Skoda superb, 2.0tdi, which has a AGM battery. What will happen if you put a normal battery in AGM car.

You must use AGM if the car is expecting AGM. Different battery technologies charge differently.

I work for AAA..... rule of thumb.... if it has an agm, replace it with an agm, if it's not, then replace with non agm.

EFB is budget version and AGM is better for Stop/Start.

What happens if you disconnect the plus terminal first?

Cable can move to chasis of the car (which is still connected to minus), there still could be some electricity in circuit (capacitors, etc.) and you can make short circuit that could damage any component inside car. If you disconnect minus terminal first and you touch the chasis with it, nothing will happen, it's the same polarity.Then you can remove plus terminal.

Yes code it, I done battery change then next week car broke down, on dash said battery fail. Coded it, recharge then all good. Code it or take risk of car cutting out without warning and dead battery until u charge it again. Plus worst when the car broke down it was on the motorway. No breakdown cover either grrrrrrrrhhh

what a mess, you should have removed the battery box side wall, it only clips into place and can be refitted afterwards

i cant explain precisely, but. It is a type of battery, not pb nut gel type. made for start-stop cars. it has higher start Amperes etc. for more details check the great web
