one comment you forgot to mention is that most scooters have directional tires with arrows on the side - they need to go on in the same direction as the ones you took off.

My first time changing the back tire of my gotrax Apex pro; I watched several videos not one of them explained it and demonstrated the way you did. I feel more confident now doing it by myself thank you so much! I too got my tube from Amazon.

A good pair of bike tire levers is what works for me, but them cheap ones aren't strong enough. Putting the tire back on I use cable ties (zip strips) to help. These tires are such a pain to change that I would rather change my motorcycle tire. I can do BMX tires with just my hands, but these little 8.5 inch tires are tough as nails. I also have a rear luggage rack so rear tire changes are the worst. I just did my rear tire and replaced the outer tire today. So happy to have my grocery wagon back. This was my 3rd flat tire in 1500km. The tire needed replaced anyways, so I didn't mind so much, but dang them inner walls are hard to get in and out.

You might want to get a tire lever instead of a screwdriver :). Also, baby powder works great to allow the tube to settle without being folded.

I tried it I bought the tire liver but those tires have much more rigid wires around the walls and they break the plastic. Lever ( when you try to pry them off.

​@@Jagking77 Oh yes, I should have been more specific: bicycle tire levers are useless. You need two are three good motorcycle tire levers.

Yes I did this method: Starts at 5:22 kzread.info/dash/bejne/dmlnl5WDk9Gzfqw.html He uses 1 big table vice clamp, 2 vice grips, I bought 1 small table vice clamp and 3 vice grip, it did the job very easy. But I did not use the small table vice clamp for this, I could use the 3 vice grip and have the tire on my knee and it worked perfectly. I bought 1 small table vice clamp so I could but a rubber tire on it, the small table vice clamp did the job to get the rubber e scooter tire on. :) (Im not sure the names of the tools are correct but almost sure but you can find the names and tools online)

I got tired if popping tires all the time, so I bought tubless tires. Also, putting a little air in your tube before you put the tire on its rim really helps straighten the tube.

Just nope. Can't get the tire in. I have a Mercedes AMG petronas Kick scooter and the tires are so fucking solid even after boiling that it's impossible to do. Not only that, the stupid valve is angled at 30' instead of being in the middle.

Boil water and put the tire in there when and heat it up. You will thank me later

Putting back the tire is such a pain. I sent to a repair shop instead.

Why I didn’t think about watching this before I took my scooter to bike shop 😢 they took 105$ for changing one tire omg I could do it by myself 😭🫢 at home.
