Guys, do not write English well. But like I want to thank you, first for advice on how to set up the equipment and then fillet eels for bait. I listened to everything, went with his fiancee in Kukubara Park and already in the second exit caught two bull sharks at 8 kg. and that, one I missed, I stalked. In the end we are filleted and roasted on advice that you have given. I never ate more delicious fish. You have a big greeting from one fishing enthusiasts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, You made my life, because these are the first two sharks in my life. Thanks again :) Jasmin

If you use Ike Jime and brain spike the shark then cut the tail off, the heart will continue to pump blood. That way you can brain kill the shark and not have it bleed out while conscious. This method works for other sharks as well.

With the sharks cut tail then head off at the same time, kills them fast and gets ammonia taste out and it makes it easier to process, gut, take fins off and take head and tail off then it’s trunked and easy to prepare but put in an ice slury to make preparing easier, hope this helped for anyone who needs tips

Ah we roll a bit different in NSW but same principles. we use like 20lbs line... and we stab the veins that run near the pectoral fins... but same shit... maybe your way is easyer... Also people have no idea how infested some of our rivers are with these sharks. This is the same as bream fishing to me.

Great video. I'm in the States but enjoyed your show! Been trying to find a good video for preparing shark. One question though, when you cut off the tail to bleed it out, did you ice it at that point until you got home? Or do you let them sit for a while a bleed out? Been trying to figure out if I put them on ice right away.

A very, very good fishing vid, well done guys. You showed shark fishing for what it is, how fish should be handled and harvested appropriately. I'm assuming the large number of dislikes are for the bleeding out, but it's part of the process and means you will eat and enjoy the fish rather than kill it only to throw it out (because it tastes of ammonia), I had to laugh when you got the double hook-up, but even then you kept it going like pro's.

hey mate good to see an aussie fishing show your two are dead set troopers loved every minute of the show, im going to try my luck next week in the Clarence river located in Grafton NSW and im using freshly caught mullet fillets i sure hope they work but if i come across an eel apparently from talk of the town they are the best bait for the job. Question do you find fresh mullet to work better and dose it matter if the mullet is caught at the mouth of the river so its clean or would you use the mullet from the river that are more muddy?
