Glad to hear Steve, thanks for tuning in!
Loved the video. Absolutely amazing stuff. That bull shark was massive btw- and handled with so much care. Also, the bait for the shark was perfect- pure gold. The sharks near the coast get really massive though- some report seeing a 19+ m whale shark!

Appreciate you tuning in Purva, super glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I may have got a bit excited when I hooked the shark and said it was BIG 🤣 it’s really a baby but a decent size for the upper reaches of the river!
Such a great vid, loved it, new sub. Got some pike eel and catfish the other day with my young son. I am 65 and have never caught a bullie but will try hopefully this week if weather permits

Stoked you enjoyed mate, thank you. Best of luck with the bullies! Warmer water/weather is the best for them. Should still be a few around up there and willing to bite, but it could be a bit tough. Let me know how you go
Pumping out the vids mate! Good to see the bass smashing poppers, they will be bully bait soon!

Thanks Rod, I’ve been enjoying the process filming and keeping the uploads regular as long as they are enjoyable to watch! Heaps of bass up there & bullies do love them ! Few kayakers up there the same day I was & they were smashing the bass…
I dont go that far up the river to fish but it looks good for my son and I> Under the story and Indooroopilly bridges we have got bull sharks and as I am sure you would know, they get pretty big in the river. Im a minimalist so seeing you swagging it makes me want to get back out. I dont think you can beat a swag for Australian conditions. Ive been in Canberra in the middle of winter in one and was warm as. I got mine always packed with my sleeping bag and pillow rolled up with it. Love that sort of boating and camping. Love ya style.

It’s awesome to chase the bullies in the upper reaches , especially the smaller ones on light gear. I agree, I’ve never had a bad sleep in my swag 😂 Thanks for watching mate, I appreciate your comment

Just found your vid mate and really enjoyed it, I’m fairly sure that I was up there chasing bass on your second day. I was in the outback explorer but I only seen the bullies for a second as they bit my bass in half at the boat, I hope you do more of these.

I noticed with your swag setup you didn’t seem to attach one of your swag ends to the swag pole? Just curious why?
@danyoungy
Жыл бұрын
That side is the new replacement poles that seem to really loop out a bit more then the originals / so it’s tougher to connect the swag to it. I just left it this day as it can be quite a stretch to connect…

@@danyoungy Same rule as they have with the Tilapia. They are becoming a problem in this country but wont give us permission to start to fish them out. They are not a bad eating fish so numbers would be at very least kept down. The problem they say with that is because they are mouth brooders, you may take one away from that area and endanger releasing the young elsewhere but with education that could also be managed. I find fishermen usually try to do the right thing so lets open the gates.
