    Great video - great looking model! Love this police version, reminds me instantly of crime drama and detective story movies from around 1950. Love those! Great decision leaving the wheels without the hubcaps. Looks much more real and "practical". Awesome!

    I bought 25 of these kits from ollie's bargain outlet when they had model cars for 2-3 dollars a kit I was getting them for with military discount I bought multiple of every kit they sold and it was worth it tons of cool kits and parts for stock box builds or kit bashing and parts for other builds. This police 2n1 I have used to build dirt track open wheel vintage modifieds and other oval track cars and drag cars hot rods with this kit it's a good little kit

    Just finished building this very kit. A real pleasure. Built mine as a "civilian" Sedan Coupe tough. The only tricky part was the rear window. It's about 1 or 2 mm bigger than the actual window on the body Almost no place to actually put the glue on.

  • @RightOnReplicas

    @RightOnReplicas

    CC - Right you are. That's often why there's a little "extra" glue around the windows - they don't seat into the nacelle properly so there's a very small contact surface unless you use some glue to fill that gap. -Doug

    CP, I think you're in luck as there were a number of police cars issued. TJ Hooker and Dukes of hazard come to mind but you could really use about any 70's MOPAR and paint it b&W for the look. A couple decals and some lights from policecarmodels and you're all set! -Doug

    It's a shame they never made a model kt for Adam 12, the show was on for 7 years. I like the 68 and 69 Plymouth the best. The Matador in 73 was ok I guess.

    Doug, I am currently building this as a police car but was wondering if you might know of a place where I can get decals for a LA car? I want to build it as a car from a video game that I have played that is based in the early 50's.

    WH, I'm no expert here and you might have to piece something together. PoliceCarModels has some LA decals but for period correct decals you might have to get them custom made! -Doug

    My great uncle and grandfather told me the reason that most of the squad cars didn't have hub caps is because they were stolen by gang members as a sort or gang shield emblem almost like a standard!

    Steev - I've never tried a spray version of the product but it would probably have a different formulation than the liquid. It would be easy enough to try since you can just wash it off with Windex.
