If you do this with Sheoldred in play, and Defiant Bloodlord on the battlefield you can kill all opponents as well!

In my deck I'm also adding a bit of ramp as well as swiftfoot boots and lightning greaves, the main reason being that Sheoldred is gonna be getting removed continuously so I need to keep her protected.

Playing Sheoldred, I can say…Vito or Sanguine Bond are sudden death cards for your opponents when you point Peer into the abyss on yourself. And don‘t forget the only black wheel effect…Dark Deal

Lich's Mastery a $.35 card breaks this sheoldred. Just draw a card and draw your entire deck. And the mastery keeps you from losing. Save your land drop for the turn for a reliquary tower and you have a pathway to victory

@@marumiyuhime of your playing lich's mastery you're also building the deck to protect it... and you'll have the cards to do so

If the build is right, aetherflux reservior would be a neat addition as well

Cabal Stronghold is a cheaper Cabal Coffers, that taps for a colorless or same as Coffers for 3 mana. Crypt of Agadeem let's you make mana equal to the creatures in your graveyard. Throw in some mana doubles like Nirkana Revenant and Crypt Ghast, and you will have all the mana you need

I can’t believe we didn’t bring up Top and citadel combo. You get to draw your whole deck and gain life equal to the number of cards left in your deck.

Bolas citadel lets you play cards from the top of your library, by paying life equal to their casting cost. Sensei's divining top taps to draw a card then goes to the top of your library. So your paying one life to play top, from the top of your deck, and drawing a card tapping top and putting it back. With Sheoldred, you actually are gaining a life for each draw, instead of losing one… so before where you could only draw equal to one minus the life you had, you can now just draw your whole deck no longer being limited.

A better way to draw your whole deck is lich's mastery. It's a 50 ish cent card when you gain life you draw that many cards. Draw your whole deck in one go and gain twice that many life. Use a card that makes opponents lose life when you gain life and you win right there. Use things like dark ritual and other fast mana to get lich early

Can you make a deck tech on the new Zur?

I think that playing cards like seizan, howling mine ecc in this deck is not necessarily useful, because if you make an opponent draw more, he will have more resources to remove Sheoldred or simply interact with your gameplan. I made this mistake years ago with Nekusar, these cards are not so useful when you think about the payoff. Giving cards to your opponents is always bad

This is why Im considering adding some discard subtheme. Rankle, Waste Not, Geths Grimoire, Bottomless Pit, etc. Then throw in Tergrid to get value on top of that. Also throwing in MindCrank, a ton of sac-based removal, Rise of the Dark Realms for a fun win. Our group is roughly 6-7 power. No combos, few tutors, just good fun stuff. And this commander feels like it fits right in with it 😁

You need to make sdcc sure you run enough protection like greaves and swiftfoot. You'll also wan th to play cards like wail of the nim too yo keep him on the bo as nd. If they are drawing more cards I think running more mass removal will be necessary to keep players in check. If you do that you'll need to survive your own board wipes

Sanguimancy is perfect for this build as well

You can always go k'rrik, Vilis and sheoldred and deck yourself

You forgot Fell Stinger which actually is the best option in a zombie shell next to Sheoldred the Apocalypse and Elas il-Kor…undead augur, tidehollow sculler, relentless dead, cryptbreaker, carrion feeder, gravcrawler, champion of the perished all go in…

Just won a sheoldred at my lgs this is great. :)

Has a nice synergy with Ertai, in that you can kill opponent creatures and ping their life with the cards they draw.

Just put Sheoldred into a wheel deck and you`ll kill opponents very quickly, especially if you put her into Kess of Dissident Mage

I def thought it was a lil sus when the draw ability was worse than morbid opportunist. And the other ability was WAY better

Am I REALLY the only person who thinks Insidious Conqurer wasn't that powerful like people say it was? It was on-theme of what prior Sheoldred did and hard hard once per turn limits. Apoc Sheoldred is extremely underwhelming, even if you ignore the I.C fake version.

First thank you for the Content it is difficult to do and I appreciate the effort. I must admit from the moment the other sheoldred hit the scene I had my doubts and yes it was quite easy to figure out. The praeters follow a template. Yes one helps you one hurts you but the abilities mirror each other. Insidious Conquerer did not follow that template. The abilities did not mirror each other. That said I understood why it was covered people are competing for views and getting scooped or not covering covering it will help the channel get views. The video was also entertaining. I wish you would have just made this video and not have made the snarky comment about figuring it out. I want to be entertained not get into a battle of words. Unfortunately that statement makes you appear petty and I don't think that accurately reflects who you are as a person. Again thank you for taking the time and effort for making commander content. It is appreciated and I look forward to more videos.

I thought that I couldn’t play different colors than those included in my Commander… How would I fit other color cards into there? Lol Serious inquiry. I’m new to commander.

If they are mentioning cards with other colors than black, then Sheoldred would not be the commander. Instead it would be one of the other 99 cards in the deck.

For example: I have her in a Rafinne, Scheming Seer commander deck. This gives me acces to black, but also blue and white mana.

First!

In my opinion Sheoldred has become lackluster and pale in comparison to the already seen praetors. Vorinclex its a bomb that also has combo potential with the new ajani, Jin-Gitaxias counter and double is great headache to play around and Urabrask while not as powerful its still card advantage while pairing with Drannith Magistrate it lockdown each new draw opponent draw step. This praetor may be the less mana intense now but it was at the expense of a very meh rule text

@@brandyourfan9244 I know it is a powerful one, but when I play against it I feel that Sheoldred is not the one killing me, is just the one putting the last nail to a coffin full of Invoke Despair, Meathooks, GY Tresspasers, etc. In fact the meta is so removal centered that the only decks in standard that lose specifically to the praetor are the non-meta. It does not sound great to invest 4 mana to discard them a 2 mana removal.

She's groupslug, without the part where she slugs herself. I played against a power level 8 and I can say, if you want to have an enjoyable commander experience, do not build her. Everyone will hate you. Hate akin to Tergrid

I hope there are better options out there because these all seemed pretty bad
