    So much cheaper than our current "proportioner in a box". The trouble we have experienced with manufactured proportioners is repair time. If we get a leaking check valve or anything that could be a quick swap-out, the entire unit has to be disassembled to access it. Moving forward we build our own. Thanks Mike, for all of the great information you share on here.

    Great video! I just went to Amazon and bought most parts. One or 2 is out of stock and a few of the things were outrageous in pricing. Like 24 bucks for a nipple, I found through another seller for like 6 bucks. The pentair metering valves we're 50 from this link but 30 through another vendor. Price increase is probably due to the "plastic shortage" from covid.. All in I was at like $175-180. I bought a couple of the extra barbed fittings just in case I brake one. Just a heads up. I really appreciate the content! I'm excited about getting into roof washing. I'm a Roof Maxx dealer so I'm hoping this will mesh nicely!

    There are quite a few videos on hooking up a buffer tank or tote to your pressure washer. You did such a great explanation of the proportioner maybe you should make a video on running a Simple easy hose line from your buffer tank to your pressure washer. Also a Y in the line to use outside your trailer to fill buckets or to dump the tank. Just a suggestion. Thanks

    On the QuoteIQ mix calculator, how would these valves line up on the pull ratio? With the SH valve set at 1 and H2O at 1 you'd have a pull of 1:2. With SH at 1 and H20 at 2 would you have 1:3 in the app?

    Awesome & to the point video. Being new to the business, the ratio chart is great. How would you calculate the amount of SH hitting the surface when using 10% SH?

  • @AllAboutPressureWashing

    @AllAboutPressureWashing

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for the feedback and good luck with the new business. If you look at the chart and you had an undiluted tank of 10% SH and set the valve dial to "1" and also on "1" for your H2O, you would be diluting it by 50%. If you wanted to increase the amount of SH for a stronger/hotter mix, you would turn the dial up on the SH side - so put the SH dial at "2" and leave the H2O dial at "1" and you would have a 67% SH : 33% H2O ratio.

  • @hsilva3213

    @hsilva3213

    3 жыл бұрын

    So if both set to 1 your mix would be 5% hot using 10%SH. Ove been told to always run H2O valve wide open. So I'm sure if they are both wide open you will still achieve 5% close SH valve to maybe half and you would have a 2.5% mix??? Just going off valve position not really numbers.

    Do the 1/2 inch inlet and outlets work fine for an everflo 5.5? Im seeing some people using 3/4 outlets and dont want to start burning up pumps from restricted flow?

    I using this system with a 3way ball valve. I just recently hooked up the soap line that feeds to the down stream as well to the 12v. Iv noticed sometimes( very rare) I can get soap to pull in the downstream, but never a issue with the 12v. Is this what you was talking about at the beginning of the video? I’m a little confused on the proportioner I thought I’d be able to us if downstreaming?

    +Jarel Wilkins you can use a Proportioner with a downstream - and I don't really see any value there. Because with down streaming, the max you're probably gonna be able to get his about a 1.5% mix. Check out the how to wash course - it will really help

    Does the output ratio vary depending on your pump output? Say a 5gpm against a 7gpm or do the meter the same mix? I'm going to build this and use it with a 5.5 everflo. FYI your strait to the piont videos are the best.

    +Robert Schreen Robert, I appreciate that. The output of the pump makes zero difference, the metering system does it’s job regardless. It will work perfectly with the 5.5 Everflow, that’s what we are currently using. Also check out the link below, or the video about the pump were giving away

  • @AllAboutPressureWashing

    @AllAboutPressureWashing

    Great Question and honestly it is just a personal choice, I know lots of guys swear by whatever system they are running. I have had 12v pumps that have a limited life span, blow fuses and have a hard time priming, they are effective and work fine but I wanted something a little more reliable. I went to air diaphragm pumps for a very short time, work well but again there are more "moving parts" with a compressor. Finally have moved to the 11.4 GPM @ 290 PSI, Honda GX200, with AR45LFP pump. This thing is a beast, only down side is having to batch mix but that really isn't that big of a deal.
