    Filling the pit up with Lava Rock is genius. I just bought the stainless steel pan w/burner ring which was the most expensive part.

    Is it a good idea to install the burner ring (star in this case) with the holes facing down to avoid water getting into the gas line when it rains. Assuming you don't want to cover it when it rains

    Great Info!!! If we are connecting our fire pit to a valve off the back of our house (such as a bbq connection valve) and not the main gas on the side of the house.....do we still need to have someone licensed to install the gas line? We are in the state of Utah.

    Sí, la línea de gas de la casa va hasta el pozo de fuego y tiene la misma presión. No hay agua, solo gas natural.

    I bought this house with a pool and it looks like there was a fire pit that was removed by the previous owner.The half inch pipe is mounted right in the middle of the 24"circle and the DANTE shut off is on the ground.When you said that you don't want the line in the center may I know why?Is it because you need to install a shut off valve? Mine already have a shut off Dante valve on the ground.Please respond,I'm a subscriber thank you.

    Do you need to have the fire glass covering the burner first before it will light? I tried to light the burner without the fire glass just to test it and only one hole on the burner lights. all the holes on the burner are not flaming up.

    It sounds like you may have water in the gas line... Try using compressed air to blow the gas line out. You will need to disconnect the Gas Line from the source. A less expensive way is to use lava rock over the Burner. Also you should cover the burner when your not using it to prevent water from getting in.

    Once you are at this stage, what is the process to add an igniter? What are the good options that will work with this nice looking fire pit?

  • @mrEnergy511

    With adding an igniter for something reliable your in some extra cash... the manually operated key is the safest and cheapest way to go. Every time I priced one out no one ever purchased it so I never sold them $1000 or more!

    Don’t think you want NG line moving around on wheels... ALL NG hook ups will be a Hard line with a short flex on the end. If you want something to move do LP with a tank under the pit and access door. Napoleon makes a nice mid range Fire Pit Table or you can build one custom...

    What about an air mixer? Without it you will generate a lot of smoke.

  • @mrEnergy511

    @mrEnergy511

    4 жыл бұрын

    Ryan Wilhite you will need the “air mixer” for LP. On natural gas you don’t need to have one. If you did add more oxygen it will make the flame hotter and shorter and also turn the flame blue. Most customers want a large yellow flame 🔥 it looks better that way. Thanks for the comment...

  • @mrEnergy511

    @mrEnergy511

    4 жыл бұрын

    Kevin Marshall It has lots of combustion air... The block is not air tight and the large lava rock gives you air space as well. Natural gas is lighter than air so it will rise up through the pit. LP gas will require extra air under the burner.
