    Glad to see someone thinks about having a real shower in their Van, most people do not build one in and it is something a never understand because it is so important when you live in a Van full time. I live in a VW California Beach full time and it is "the thing" I miss most! Excellent job guys...

    i like to like videos to show support when i see they dont have a shower i just move on to the next one , living in a van aint no excuse to be dirty, you dont need a huge bed invest in a shower

  • @ryannorthrop158

    @ryannorthrop158

    @@unholyascension3421 it also depends on what they plan to do. Most people that are staying in one place or mostly urban areas use gyms for activity and showers(planet fitness is everywhere), people that are mostly basicly camping in parks and campgrounds already have access and those that will only need them when in middle of nowhere have external or solar showers. Only people that are actually traveling everywhere need them. Otherwise as nice as they are, they take valuable room and do require more upkeep and maintenance to avoid costly problems.

    Great job guys. I'm considering building my own camper van and I was wondering how to do the shower. You have by far the best and easiest way I've seen so far. And pretty economical as well. Hope you are still enjoying your van and the work you put into it. Thanks again for the great video.

    Here's idea. When building a shower. Build as Sit down shower. Extra space saved on top could be used to put Water tank.

  • @NeillHolloman

    @NeillHolloman

    5 жыл бұрын

    Gonna add to my original comment. Good reason to use sitdown shower and put water tank on top is because you can add a hole in roof to fill water tank when it rains. Then always use environmentally safe soaps in shower then you can freely dump shower anywhere without harming environment.

    I really liked your approach to creating the templet of the curved side wall with the disk and pencil. I've watched numerous videos of van builds and yours appears to be the best solution to trace the irregular Shapes. I'll make note and credit you with the idea once I get there. I'm pleased to see that you are still getting views 2 years later. I enjoyed your production.

    Great video, thanks! I love how you explain the details and the process - you're the first video I've seen that does that, most people show high speed video of the build and then just explain a few things while standing in front of the finished product, ugh. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Congrats, on your successful build, it looks great.

    Just a thought that might work. Shower space spends most of the time empty. How about having a wardrobe unit in there - that slides sideways when you want to use the shower. I'm thinking of the dinette beside the shower so the wardrobe can slide over the seat. Maybe have the portaloo slide under the seat. Interested in builders thoughts.

    Not sure I'm following all that, but I had a thought... I realize that the shape of the wagon is a consideration, but I think I might have just used a preformed/all in one, fiberglass shower stall. As far as cost goes, I think they're pretty reasonable. Maybe less work to install too. Just a thought. Congrats on all the DIY work going well.

    You need a man to move a teensy spider? What a waste of a man. And what a high maintenance woman you are! In the age of female world leaders you still need a man for insect removal.

    @@lass-inangeles7564 lmao multiple comments calling the woman useless? Is someone jealous or just angry with life? Newsflash, men and women aren't the same. Men tend to be better at building and construction and women are better at cooking and cleaning. You sound very single, guessing your mad you have to do man work yourself?

    @@smokedsalmon3907 My, my, aren't you insecure about your manhood. Did your mom do all the cooking or did you get your lazy ass off to the kitchen once a week? Guessing you like high maintenance partners. With regard to construction, I'm way better than most men. I expect other women in van builds not to sit around like a princess and wait for sexist men like you to show up. Now go cook yourself a meal and don't expect women to do it for you.

    Hey guys! Thanks for this great video!! We’re just building a shower and looking for the same sliding door you have. I was wondering if you could tell me the dimensions of the shower door canister! I’ve tried to find it on their website but I couldn’t find anything!! Thanks in advance

    I would imagine the shower room to be the hardest part of the build, so should be easy going from here. It's looking really good and I like the little shelves you put in. Is that a swivel toilet?

    Francis Hemeter The tape method worked really well on the toilet access door and hot water unit with sikaflex. We tried it on the bathroom joins and it didn’t work as well with silicone so we took it off and did it free hand.
