How to boost leak test your diesel pickup truck
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This video shows how we boost leak test after a turbo install. We recommend when installing a new turbo to test after the first road test and again after 500 miles, especially if you installed a piping kit at the same time. 40 psi is what the system should be charged to!
You can also use a different boot and test through the intake portion bolted onto the front of the turbo.

Thanks for the great vid! ...so how does the boost leak cause turbo failure? Mine has a good sized leak, but end and lateral play seems good? Thank you!
When doing this do I need to remove the oil cap? I’ve seen some do and some don’t.
jUST DID MINE TODAY!
I just installed your turbo on my truck last week. The original one I believe was just worn out, almost 250k miles. The old turbo compressor wheel didn't always spin free. It would get to random spots where the wheel would get tight and not want to turn. I want to pull the old one apart just because I'm curious of what was failing. What should I look for inside it?
