    Miyamoto Musashi's profound influence on my life began during my judo days when I delved into his works, including the Book of Five Rings and the Dokkodo. However, it wasn't until I faced a stroke in 2021 that I truly embraced the depth of his wisdom, seeking a path back from my waking nightmare to a new normal, acknowledging that "normal" might never be the same. Amidst the challenges, including the loss of my marriage, Musashi's teachings guided me to embrace life without regrets, viewing my journey akin to a blacksmith refining steel. Musashi is the hammer, Marcus Aurelius the anvil, and I, the steel and the blacksmith. Their lessons resonate with me, and I find echoes of their wisdom in your content, serving as a valuable reminder of the resilience they instilled in me.

    Musashi was a Taoist and his religion was minimization and the sword. He lived in a horrifically violent and turbulent time who's discipline bordered on obsession. He only bathed a few times in his adulthood as he found himself vulnerable doing so and was the lightest of sleepers as his reputation grew. He was the greatest of swordsmen and a good philosopher in many ways. I would recommend the teachings of Lao Tzu and the Tao Te Ching in a book called The Tao Of Power by R.L. Wing, the best interpretation I've experienced. 👍🏻

    this video is such a gem. I love the way you always talk about cultivating the ability to be present, because I truly think that was what set musashi apart from any other samurai in that time. His discipline and ability to be fully immersed in his practice is what allowed to him to progress faster than most

    in thus cases i feel the summary upon the su ject is to take the basics of you can't buld the propper building with out the supports andvstrutuces. same gose for those who we cource upon lofe itself, when pooring life lessons. Upon being so i'd gotta say im a martial artist that faces this problem. That being problems, drama created by those with sin and sin itself witch disturbs inner peace. I question another alternative way of self disapline and self discorvery with all seem so philosophical' but yet this explination presented in this video about this samurai gave a great example of another path in the correct way

    you know, i'm almost 40, (36) todays day... i resigned the dream of creating a family (i live in Argentina, that is a nightmare to have dreams or ambitions) so, i decided to do something that is ABSOLUTELY out of character, i started to do podcast , and game streams for relax. i started it as a hobby, but when everybody looked at me as if i was a looney, i saw that maybe, i was stepping in my own path... i started to talk about philosophy, through anime, i grew up reading the book of five rings, the dokkodo, i complimented with the tao of jeet kun do, the art of war, the rules of power, and a bunch of other schools of philosophy... and i jumped in the void, i fail every day that i don't grow, or every day per se. i use my worktime to think about podcast content, games to play, i forgot to prepare topìcs to chat with chat... I AM TERRYFIED OF FAILING but that doesn't mean that i 'm goin to resign.... yes i know my story can be stupid in comparission to others ambition, but is my struggle, i wanna live fighting it... or die trying. thanks for the video

    Good on you for finding something that you enjoy! I am of similar age and enjoy gaming and anime. That said, if you wish, I say keep trying to build a family. If you’re a man, we produce the baby making milk till we’re old. Also, since you do physical training, it’s not like you’re too weak to do it. Believe in yourself and make moves sir. If you’re a woman, adoption is an option. So many kids out there that need homes.

    I like your videos. I have to admit that the stock footage of people is extremely distracting, to the point I can't focus on the ideas and words being shared. I often have to replay those parts and listen without looking at the liminal, uncanny valley faces of these stock footage. I don't mind the movie clips as much, and the ai art is fine with me, but the stock footage of peoples faces up close or doing mundane tasks is very distracting.

  • @fubufb420

    @fubufb420

    4 ай бұрын

    I've been on my deathbed... Wasn't that bad.😂 My only regret is I didn't spend enough time on ME and my personal health. I'm healthier now. Still alive. Still no regrets, even more free and independent than ever before. Something very freeing about facing death and coming out the other side a better man. A harder worker. A smarter decision maker. My focus is off the charts. No one can ever get in my way when there's something I want. Obstacles maybe, but I know even an obstacle is just that. An obstacle to be overcome by perseverance and hard work. My only ignorance is to THE ignorant. Those who refuse to change and stay stuck in that neverending rut of normalcy! I've always felt different. Now I'm genuinely an independent free thinking individual with my own goals and no one or thing will ever distract me from them ever again! I've been down. Now that I've metaphorically dug my way out of the grave with my own two hands. Life doesn't seem that intimidating. Life is simple. Just like Bruce Lee taught me years ago through his book. Learn to simplify. Don't WISH for an easy life. WORK hard for the strength to endure a difficult one. 😂 That's never been held so much meaning to me until these past couple of years getting sober. Also thank you Miyamoto!😊

Was that normal procedure at that time ... probably Wonder how many of Mr. Musashis remaining 59 won duels was against kids?

    This man is overly romantacized. I have read both of his books, and the man teaches you basically how to live like a bum. He is an example of following the dao, the way of life, literally Taoism ☯️ no monster no challenge no nothing. Do not read into his writings what is not there, do not "be a monster". Be one with the way, without forcing it. If you force it, intellectualize it, and do it with preemptive thought, you are not doing it properly.

    @@Tukutoyo17wouldn't improving yourself make it more likely/improve your chances/better prepare you to slaughter your enemies?
