I have so many questions... Firstly, how did the girl at the end know that she wasn't going to get killed or injured throughout the game? So the old man fake his death and nobody noticed? Why did the main guy throw the money away at the end? There is no shot I am just throwing a million dollars away Why didn't the person with the gun just literally shoot everyone while they were all together? Whoever had it could have easily wiped out 6 people in a matter of seconds I haven't seen the movie, all I know is what was presented in the video here and honestly I might have missed some stuff but I feel like this movie just has a lot of problems

I've got theories for answers, so take them with a grain of salt, but... 1: the girl didn't know she wouldn't die. She was there to make money just like they were, she was just more aware than them about the situation. If she died, the show would go on without her 'making things more interesting'. 2: That ojii-san faking his death didn't make much sense, but since the people running the game didn't bother to have heat sensor cameras or vitality bands and couldn't go inside to confirm his death until the game's official completion, I can see how he'd get away with it. Cameras are shut off once the game ends and doors are only locked during the game, so he can just walk out. 3: Tatsuya Fujiwara's character was a complete white knight type, which means he's an idiot who won't accept 'dirty money' after going through hell to get it. Basically, a goody-two-shoes moral statement. I'd like to assume, after the camera cuts away, the ojii-san says "boy, you better pick that back up or I swear I'm gonna backhand you so hard you go back in time, then steal it for myself. We didn't go through this shit for you to throw that like a graduation cap, get back to planet Earth!" But, maybe I'm wrong. 4: I don't think the gun with 6 bullets was originally a weapon given. When the guy suicided via patrol bot, the company gave their 'inside man' the weapon to frame someone in the name of making things more interesting. They may have chosen Fujiwara's character (was it Yuki or Yugi, I never confirmed? Yugi seems too on the nose, having Game as the name of the protagonist in a death game, but Yu-Gi-Oh did it first and worse, so...), because they noticed he was morally sound, thus wouldn't use the overpowered weapon in the first place and throw the game off balance. The real problem I have is that there was absolutely no reason to kill in the first place? They earned money per the hour, and it wasn't stated that killing gave a bonus, so whittling down the numbers only quickened the release, which meant less money for the survivors. There was plenty of food and no incentive to kill, unless I missed something. I see that the first death (caused by suicide) set off paranoia, and the psycho who smiled at his death probably would've been released and gone on a rampage in revenge for being accused, but I don't get why Mia went all-out killing people? What was she even gaining, besides suspicion and attrition?

@@error_the_crow I get what it's supposed to show, but this is so overdone... all the time, and the only development shown is a cognitive disconnect from reality. This is money that he earned, some of it for solving the case of a crime committed by another. Do you think police officers and detectives shouldn't collect their paychecks because it involves making money off events involving crimes? This is like you working your buns off for two weeks at your job, getting your paycheck (that you earned), and then ripping it up because there's a better paying job somewhere. Sure, I agree... go and get it, but you still earned your paycheck, even if your job was horrendous... like crime-scene clean-up, where you're making money off someone else's horrible fate... or debt-collecting or repo-work when people can't pay their bills? Imagine coming home to your sick wife, child or mother and they hopefully look up to you asking if you got your paycheck to afford the medicine or operation they needed and you're like, "Nah... tore that check up. I saw another guy not wash his hands at work before serving a customer and I was like... this company can keep my money! I have standards! That'll show 'em!" Nah...quit and get another job, for sure... but you earned the money. He didn't suddenly gain super-powers or become an aesthetic monk who doesn't need food or shelter. He still has to pay all his bills and rent and everything that he had to do 7 days ago... in fact, he's now 7 days later paying them off... which means there could be dozens of other people going hungry or not able to pay their bills because he can't pay his. This isn't a case of the game masters saying they'll kill a kid or even a puppy for every dollar he spends... it's just money... that he NEEDS to survive. Even if that CEO guy was so impressed he offers him a job... he's still gonna have to work for 2 weeks for his first paycheck, assuming they don't withhold his first paycheck like some companies....

I think the best strategy would have been to gain Shoko's trust and team up with her, as you can easily tell she's a nice person. The rules don't say anything about teaming and the game ends when two contestants are left alive, making this a perfect strategy. This should have been the first thing Yuki did after he armed himself. Now, immediately right at the start of the game, he'd have a valuable asset - someone who knows the game inside out and knows how to trick the others. With her support, he could secretly convince the other crew members that one of them is at fault, while slaughtering them using his own strength and her cleverness. They could even use the robots in the hallway to their advantage. Then, he could keep doing this until four in total are remaining including them. Finally, they could do a double murder and win the game. Coming out of the game in good condition, they could both make a good choice on what to do with the prize money. Also, the good sportsmanship of the duo could also be used to their advantage. Together, they look nice enough to convince even the most greedy of the contestants. They could have hence attempted to convince the rest of the group to just wait out the seven days. That way, everybody could leave with something. Lastly he could toss all of the weapons aside and plan, with Shoko, to poison everyone else's drinks. If the poison is enough to kill them, then that's all they need to do to win the game. They could simply wait for the next meal, poison all of the drinks except for their own and serve them. If not, then they could use the fully loaded gun to finish off the rest of the players. Once they're both left behind, they'll win the game.

A Holmes-Version so fluffing stupid he got an hour long Essay made about his Failures: Hbomberguy did so, though he talked too much about unrelated Sutff at the beginning, so just skip the first 20 Minutes.

Actually when he gets the gun, he could easy just go out and eat then go back to his room. The best part about statue is that without your card nobody will get the weapon. Also you could use the sheets to tie the door in place to the statue or other part that could effectively lock the door. When few days left or in any way being under heavy preassure, just announce that he will stay in his room the rest of the time. With a bit warning system and a gun with a full clip he would be impossible to kill until time runs out. Will anybody try to kill him after time runs out is not likely because there is no money involved when he gets out and pretty much the rest will be dead. Just tell the rest to stay away when you leave the game.

Hmmm... I would say with this game... Why kill? Your paid by the hour. And it ends after 7 days. It is better for everyone to just wait for the week to end. If you kill people and end it earlier, then you get paid less since your paid hourly

That's the correct mindset, and precisely why they had to plant two members. Nishino's death caused everyone to distrust each other. If you suspect there's a killer out there, you're more likely to think, "it's better to kill than be killed." After all, most of them want to survive to spend the money, so if someone is out there killing them, lasting the whole time doesn't mean anything if they're going to get killed. Shoko was there basically as a "control" factor, which made sure the "game" would progress the way they wanted it to, which in this case, would not have happened if she wasn't there, since Yuki convinced a truce. By letting the imprisoned member out, who now had a grudge against everyone else for voting for him, the game progressed how they wanted it to. It's easy to say this, but when you might die, you'll think differently. And frankly, psychologically, even when you're not going to die, you still don't think straight when under pressure. How do you think the Asch and Milgram experiments succeeded? There was no one getting killed, they weren't dying and it was easy for the participants to "just quit" and "beat the game" but most of them still didn't.

So let's say modern day you end up in a death game. The likelihood that people between the ages of 16 and 30 immediately recognizing the circumstances at play would be insane. Just because of how many people consume content online that could possibly talk about stuff like that. There's a super high chance going into the game. There's a lot of people with the same plans as you.

Issue with this whole death game is that it is entirely avoidable because you earn more money for hours spent in the place so because they find out about the money earned from discovering a crime fully after the first deathand there is a time limit. They may as well just stay there for 7 days and all survive with more money

for a start you can lock your door via the bed sheets that seems like it should be more than long enough to reach that kind of handle and the affixed to the wall chair lamp. Another big thing is to consider the weapons not only as weapons but tools. Things like the iron poker could be used as a pry bar and a good knife is always useful. If you can sneak into other people's rooms to kill them you may want to do so naked so your clothes don't end up blood stained. Likewise always be sure to completely strip any 'victims' to search for clues or tools that could be useful. Likewise any kind of death game that goes on like this is most likely sanctioned by the authorities if it is on the open net to be viewed in the streets on cell phones. So with that in mind there's no help or restitution likely to come.

Yeah, I think people are focusing too much on trying to kill other people. You only have to last 7 days and not be accused. I think it's the same problem people have with zombie apocalypse scenarios. The best weapon against zombies is to not fight them unless absolutely necessary and have tools that help you survive all the other stuff going on.
