The easiest way to avoid getting a ticket is to floor it as soon as the cop spots you and if the cop gives chase(which he will) you need only to keep going until you find the next u-turn spot then perform the inertia drift and boost away. The cop will then stop his pursuit for he will be left in awe of your amazing drifting technique and skill, trust me, it works every time....

Ya know... I almost did this... I was going 75 in a 55. It was a speed trap the State Trooper was in a median I come a over a hill just as they caught and completely lose sight in my rear view mirror and was quickly going to take a u-turn I chickened out. Slowed down and the cop caught up to me. $260 ticket...

People really need to be ticketed for not getting the hell out of the way. I drive fast but occasionally I will have someone who wants to go faster, so move to the right. Really not that hard to figure out. I still don't know how in the world he was able to get across the country so fast. I have the same gear but in every state it was pretty much the same thing, I hear the police talk about me on the scanner, slow down for speed traps, after the cops don't catch me going over the speed limit they follow me out of the state. Well except for Nevada who put two cop cars on me through the entire state. They even waited across the street for me to fill up my car. Thanks for keeping me safe. Nevada this is how your tax dollars are spent, babysitting people who may go over the speed limit. Can't imagine why you have so many problems, absolute mystery.

Speeding tickets are not a morality issue..... It's a legal form of tax revenue and that's it. Why do you think cops set up speed traps on roads that are far too easy to speed at. Hills, speed limit drops, slow speed long strait ways.... It's unfair in my opinion. Tickets should be a slap on the wrist and reasonable. Not legal theft.

In Holland all the cops have a radar detector detector, so if they find out you have a radar detector(which they will) youre in for an extremely expensive ticket which will cost you more than a detector + the highest speeding ticket possible. So there is prettymuch no body who still uses them (as far as i know). So now people call or text a radiostation with the location of the cop and then it will be noticed on the radio (and that is allowed!)

@Doffingnik if cops can hide behind trees at night with their lights off to catch you, you should be able to have the tools to see if they are there or not. Whether you're going to speed excessively or not is your choice, but I've been given three tickets in my life that were for less than 5 mph above the limit. No reasonable person would classify that as "speeding," so pull-overs and tickets aren't exactly always fair. Knowing where someone trying to write me a ticket is hiding matters.

All I want is a good radar detector for not too much money, I guess. Learn ins and outs and how to use it properly. Just reading about the technology alone helped me immensely in understanding how speed detection works. The one used in the video is old tech but amazing apparently, just pretty chatty with fake alerts... correct? It is increasingly harder and harder to drive long distances. I am super responsible with what I do and have never had a speeding ticket (knock on wood, seriously, been extremely lucky)

I have a question, last month I was pulled over and given after I was "lasered" while speeding. However, it had been an aircraft that did it. I do have a radar detector which went off for literally a quick second about 3 to 4 minutes before I was in site of the state trooper. I didn't see the aircraft but according to the trooper there was one. What would you recommend in order to avoid detections from aircraft, and knowing when and where aircraft are involved in catching speeding. On a side note, I use my radar as a means of keeping me alert and aware of my speed and to keep myself in check, not as a way to get away with breaking the law.

super6961 i'm sure you're sincere in what you use your radar but it's still BS. You have a speedometer which tells you your speed as well as other cars on the road. How does having a detector help you check your speed, not be a means of breaking the law and be "aware" when it only goes off when it actually detects something? Something like a device checking to see if you're speeding. Normal people don't need one, what makes your special? I live in DC and we have speed traps, red light cameras, hell even the combination of both at some traffic lights. Using your logic you would be getting tickets left and right over here because you wouldn't be aware of how fast you're going from it going off. On the highway here normal speed is around 70-80mph btw

Hey google, ever heard a little saying like "if it aint broke don't fix it"? The comments were fine. Sure, their was a lot of pure crap, but that is simply the internet as a whole. And you haven't improved it. Try focusing instead on things you actually CAN improve. Like "recommended videos" that I haven't already watched, or thumbnails that load when the page loads, instead of my having to scroll to the bottom of the page to make them all load.

And it's only TWO steps!!! 1. DON'T FUCKING SPEED. 2. TAKE IT TO A FUCKING TRACK. CK's channel. I empathize with both sides of the argument. I 100% agree with "take it to the track". I have successfully avoided fines/points for nearly 3 years now by "not speeding", simply because I want my points back before I loose my licence. But I also feel like I've lost part of my soul. Driving is sooooo dull. Speed limits (in Perth, Australia) are stupidly low. I now live near some wonderful windy back roads, and they are ruined by a limit of 60 kph (37 mph). The same style of road in England would be narrower, and yet be posted as "national speed limit) which on single lane would be 96 kph (60 mph). So I really dont believe speeding is always about "being a dick". Sometimes the law is cotton wool around the lives of the lowest common denominator, and it sucks. I dont care about the fines. That's "fun tax" as far as I'm concerned. It's the points that hurt.

"take it to a track" is fine if people are doing track like driving on the road. but if youre doing 20-30 over on a highway, theres no reason to be the dick that yells "take it to a track". not to mention, tracks are expensive, few and far between, insurance wont cover track time, and it just annoying. i want o have some fun on my commute to work, big fuckin deal, is this not the land of the free so they claim? But I don't go ripping around town driving like a d-bag like most of the people complaining about always getting speeding tickets. People, calm your tits and leave 5 minutes earlier! It IS that simple! Plus, when you jackasses aren't weaving in and out of traffic, I won't have to worry about you stuffing your goddamn fart-canned '89 Honda you think is soooo fast up underneath a semi trailer and closing up my line of traffic because of your idiocy. :)

Here's a novel suggestion... Just drive the speed limit. Yeah, they are often artificially low, but there's a reason for that - most people are careless/reckless drivers, and aren't safe at any speed. You know the ones. They tailgate, cut in and out of traffic, never signal anything they do, drive with their parking lights on, creep out into intersections at red lights, etc.

I recently put in a jammer into my car. The way to do it is have your jammer on at all times. Once you get hit with laser it will notify you. You now have a few seconds to slow down and turn off your jammer at the same time as the cop tries once again to shoot you. He will now get a successful reading, but you will be going the speed limit or close to it. A jammer has now saved me from 2 tickets in a 2 week timespan.

Maybe I missed the question but once your "jammer" picks up that your being painted, shouldn't you SLOW down (not a slam on the breaks) to the posted speed limit then turn the jammer off (all within seconds)? I've also read somewhere that if your running with GOOD driving lights and/or your brights on during the day, it gives you some edge of detection because the laser shooter can't "see" good enough with lights shining in his eyes and headlamps emit some infrared that interfers with the signal

Great video Alex. I've read your book, watched all your video's and have definitely learned from them. I've had my license for just about one year and have driven over 25,000 miles already. Not one ticket, never been pulled over and that's all because I drive smart. My friend's say I speed but I guess I'm smart about it. I plan on learning as much as I can about driving and be the best I can be. Can't wait for the next video.

Alex very very good points. One VITAL thing you missed that I hope you add to a later vid is that when you are being hit with laser and you have jammers you MUST slow down and turn them off once you get to a safe speed. Thanks again! - Solidjake
