    Let's be honest: The lure to attract victims this time was pretty good. The lure this time was a puzzle in itself, so solving it to win access to the game immediately feels rewarding for the victim, making them wanting to see more. The prize is also perfect. $10.000 is a considerable amount of money, but it's also not much. If some company made a new Escape Room, the pitch of "The first to beat it won $10.000!" it would be totally credible, it's the perfect number for a publicity stunt that feels like a lot but doesn't realy change your life nor anything like that, a number that a company can easily throw for a stunt like that. Of course, if they did their research on the company before jumping into it, they may have smelled foul and made the right choice of not going. But if we talk about the quality of their lure, this one was top-notch. It could fool almost anyone that isn't incredibly paranoid.

    I agree, but I also feel like $10,000 would be a great amount to lure people in because it's on par with shows like Wipeout that draw in a lot of people. I feel like a lot of people (myself included) would be like "10,000 for an hour? hell yeah!" As opposed to a higher dollar amount that might raise eyebrows from those of us who have seen too many movies.

    Amanda doesnt fall to her death. In the earlier releases of the second movie, it’s revealed that the bottom of the shaft was padded and she survived. She was then forced to design the next game’s rooms in order to save her daughter. The rooms were based on her personal experiences (daughter and mother at the beach, dead husband/receiving blood money, final room is her daughter’s bedroom). Sadly, the ending was changed in the later releases and now we dont know what happened to amanda Edit: i didnt spoil shit. In basically every version of this movie that you’ll see on any website there’s a different ending and beginning than the one i just spoke about because of reasons unknown to me.

    You left out that the redhead was a veteran, which is very vital to how she behaves. I’m a veteran and there’s a crap ton of hubris that comes with that. You have to feel invincible to function in a war zone, even if you know deep down that it’s a lie and you can fail just like anyone else. She did what she did largely because she understands leadership and she doesn’t figure a game can beat her, or anything for that matter. Double edged sword, but it explains a ton about her actions. Failure isn’t an option in the military and her entire history told her she didn’t ever fail… until she did of course.

    I appreciate the hell out of your work with these videos and the information/strategies you discuss, but there are usually a few things within 2 topics that I (with my very specific background) feel inclined to correct for the sake of passing on information- guns (not present here) and drugs. There is a misconception about hallucinogens where people believe that you most affected sense is your sight. And while that's certainly a component, it's actually very rare to have full-blown, lucid hallucinations that are indistinguishable from reality. Typically you will have some level of "weirdness" to your sight but it's almost always pretty obvious did something is real or imagined, mostly because your sight becomes distorted, wavey, colorful, and things seem to move. You probably won't see something that's completely imaginary but your brain will interpret normal things differently. As far as your sense of touch goes, it's more likely to have an effect of heightened sensitivity or unfamiliarity. Like, if you touched something cold, it could feel like it's sharp or fuzzy. Basically, all of your senses become overwhelmed as hallucinogens/psychedelics cause your brain to flood itself with neurotransmitters while also building a barrier between your cerebrum and cerebellum. It's VERY difficult to focus on complex or abstract concepts in a physical manner as most of your thoughts want to stay in your mind and marinate. I'm only saying this to describe the players' mental states and capabilities to solve any problem once they are under the influence of a powerful hallucinogen. They're meant to take you on a mental journey rather than a physical one and, as such, will make the task at hand substantially more difficult. It's also a bit odd that this substance is also somehow lethal. That is VERY atypical for hallucinogens/psychedelics because your brain can only produce so much of it's various neurochemicals. That means the drugs usually have a ceiling, above which no additional effects are experienced but they will continue for a longer duration. I'm guessing they had to include some sort of actual toxin as well.

    I was looking for this comment! I personally have hallucinated so vividly that I imagined the sight, sound, and sensation of pushing sand out of a mini zen garden I had onto the floor. I felt the lack of sand when I was done, and it was a complete reality to me until I woke up the next morning and found all the sand in the box with no one around to have cleaned it up.

  • @drewishaf

    @drewishaf

    4 ай бұрын

    @@ft.meganmccarthy8865 Well, there's not a _ton_ of things I am that intimately familiar with, but fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you view it in a given context) I've had a huge amount of experience with these experiences and a decent bit of training in communication (despite there being a few weird autocorrect typos in my previous entry.) I can only really describe my own experiences with both hallucinogens/psychedelics and my brain's own "distortion" of reality (which other people don't experience.) I've dealt with that stuff (various types of sensory hallucinations, all very mild) for around 23 years and at least half as much for the induced kinds. I've also had a gift for being able to describe things, so I usually feel obligated to share my own experiences with others so they don't feel so alone in their experience of the world or alterations or reality. Though it definitely wasn't all fun, easy-going, or enjoyable, I've still felt like at least trying to share my personal experiences with others, since we all view the world in vastly different ways. With that said, I've had a few similar experiences with what you shared. I've had some hallucinations that were so vivid and lucid that I was convinced that I was the only one who was really seeing things for what they were. I was able to see, hear, and feel them while everyone else was just incredibly confused (and worried for my well-being.) Once your brain is convinced that something is real, there's very little you can do to combat it aside from letting go of whatever preconceived notions you may have of it, and let some time pass. Whether that is an external chemical or an imbalance of endogenous neurotransmitters, it simply needs to be outlasted. Having a solid support network (which could just be one person that cares about you or an entire medical team) to ensure your safety and a bit of time to allow things to settle down is about the only good way to make sure that you have the chance to come back to reality. But regardless of all that, the only thing I can say for certain is that there MUST be a higher power at work to have kept someone like me around. If that means that only one thing I share helps someone else get through a moment of difficulty or psychosis (be it natural or artificially induced), then my entire life meant something greater than myself. It's nearly impossible to describe the feeling of experiencing an alternate reality from the rest of the world. But it's even more difficult to describe what it's like to come out the other side with so much gratitude and love as I've found. And I genuinely hope that the experiences I share from my own previous struggles can find there way to someone else and help them in some positive way. My kids are still too young to understand, so I just want to help someone in some way. 🙂
