How to Bead, Beadwork Tutorial for Beginners! 2 Needle Method

How to get started in beadworking. Supplies needed, and how to do the basic 2 needle stitch.
Needles - size 10 and size 12 John James Sharpes
Thread - Coats Nymo cone of nylon thread (one of these will last FOREVER lol)
Fabric Stabilizer - Pellon Peltex 70
Beads - Size 9 and 11 of various finishes
beeswax from Powwowfabrics.com
I buy a lot of my supplies from powwowfabrics.com

    You’re one of the best tutors and videographers out there because you explain everything from the type of material to bead on to the different types of needles, beads, etc as well as the details in actual beading (such as the spreading of the beads by the thread) AND where you can get your supplies! I just got into beading my polymer clay work, and you make it so straightforward and simple and answered all my questions without me having to ask any!     ik a tapestry bead artist and i u se Miyuki Declia beads size 11/0 but i heard from there bead embroidery artist that charolett beads size 13s come in hanks sparkle and their really nice for outlining

    When you are finished a design, now do you remove the graph paper? Wouldn’t the edges stick out from the design and look papery?

    I've been doing beadwork now for probably 5 years and I struggle big time getting everything to line up and stay where I want it I usually take apart my work 20-30 tines before I get it to look decent and it breaks my heart that I can't get it the first time any pointers would be much appreciated

    I watched twice but still didn't hear how the paper design was attached to the pellon. I know you said spray adhesive could gunk up the needles... what do you use?

    I was wondering how come you didn't use the last bead? Is it because when you see the rest of the outlining? Just curious

    Because the thread will spread the beads a little so by the time you get to the end from tacking them down it fills in the space (rather than them going past your line)

    No you tack down the thread in between every 2 beads. That is the one needle method where you go back in through the center of the beads. hope that helps? It's hard to explain in text!
