    Thank you for the tips Kenny! I have no prior experience to this trade, but I have been studying up on this kind of work so that I can pass my entry test for my apprenticeship application. Your other videos where you showed the different necessary mathematical skills used for the job was really helpful, again thx!

    How has your apprenticeship been? I have no background in manual labour but am interested in doing a plumbing apprenticeship. How is it and would you say its not for everybody?

    @@Nick-ud7esjust started my plumbing apprenticeship this week. You have to be able to be on your feet all day no problems, have sharp critical thinking skills and be ready to go get tools from the truck or supplies, be in decent physical shape and stamina cus it’s lot of moving around and be ready to learn and show you’re passionate.

    Really happy this video helped you. Check out the “day in the life of a plumber” vlogs if you have time. You should be able to get a vibe of what kind of work you’re going to encounter. I hope this puts your nervousness at ease.

    Thanks. I was looking for this. I thought I would keep a journal and fill it at the end of the day. I would track what we worked on, what tools/ materials were used, the objectives, standard procedures , questions I have etc.. I think it would help keep me engaged and I can track my progress and maybe see how different people do different jobs. I like what you said about taking pictures, that way I could do like a good, better, best comparison.

    Hey those sounds like wonderful ideas. The journaling will allow you to go back and see what you did last time in case you need to remember. And tracking your progress is always a great way to see that you’re getting better!

    It may sound cheesy, but showing up everyday with a can-do attitude makes a big difference. Keep telling yourself "I'm here do to my part to get the job done, so let's do what needs to be done." There are no "useless " jobs or tasks on the jobsite, so whatever you're asked to do, get after it! And have a good time doing it :)

    Hey Kenny I am trying to join a plumbing apprenticeship, I was wondering how it works am I only going to work with a journeyman or also with other people. And will the contractor give me accommodation for example part time or more breaks because I have a disability.

  • @Kennymolotov

    @Kennymolotov

    Hey thanks for reaching out! It all depends on the company, you would have to have a conversation with the employer before starting to really know the answers to these. But usually you work with a variety of people, not only journeypersons but also apprentices higher up as well. In regards to the disability, I think it depends on the employer again. Hope this helps and let me know how your progress is going!
