Looking like you have some great help out there today Stonnie. Annie's helping Gracie, Charlotte and "Cameraman" are helping you... looks like dad has a lot of ice cream to buy/serve up this evening. Never met a dog yet that didn't like ice cream either.

I can't believe how beautiful Annie is. I've been watching since she was a puppy and now she's a mentor! Charlotte is growing into a lovely professional dog trainer - Gracie trusted her completely. Gracie has the calm, attentive and polite points of her training pretty well down, but when her mentor, Annie, took off with the stick I had to laugh. Love the messages conveyed in this video, for the two-legged and the four-legged. Cameraman, beautiful job as usual. This one belongs in the family's personal collection; they are only this size and age once.

I think this is one of my favorite videos. I love the idea of mentorship. QUESTION: I live in Louisville, on 20 acres. How do you not have hundreds of ticks on you? Do you treat the property with something? Thank you in advance!

Charlotte should have boots on like dad. She might be able to climb that brush pile better. 😊(That’s the grandma in me coming out!) Great video. Charlotte is lucky to have Stonnie for a mentor❣️

@@StonnieDennis 😂Just the boots! My dad used to get mad at me for always going barefoot. 😊 I finally learned to wear the right kind of shoes for the right kind of work after getting bee stings and stubbing my toes. Sandals and climbing brush piles might not be dressing for success. In my humble opinion. From one mentor to another. 😊

Stonnie, at the dog park the other day, a big dog picked up my chihuahua in it’s mouth and flipped her on her back, three separate times, before I could pick up my chihuahua. She was very angry at the other dog. The owner thinks “They are just playing” . What should l have done?

As a general rule, it’s a bad idea to put dogs positions where they are at a significant physical disadvantage. I would only take a Chihuahua around dogs of it’s own size or around dogs who are known to be super friendly, tolerant, and outgoing.

I find it highly unreasonable if neighbors expect dogs never to bark. Mine does out of happiness and excitement, when chasing squirrels, home defense, etc. Not for no reason. But thinking that dogs should never bark is like saying children should never yell or laugh.

  • @StonnieDennis

The general rule is that dogs bark about one hundred times more than their owners admit. No one should have to pay a mortgage and have to listen to nuisance barking, loud music, etc.. Impolite dog owners ruin everything for polite dog owners, IMO…

Great points as always. Dog training should be a more communal activity. And a well behaved dog is invaluable for teaching other dogs. Same for people I guess lol.
