Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games kzread.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
One of the most thorough and no bullshit trainers I've seen. No excessive jargon or unnecessary shit. Straight practical training advice. Love it

I took Stonnie’s online class two years ago, and learned so much, even after decades of dog ownership. People regularly comment on how well-behaved my dog is. We’ve since added a puppy, who has learned everything from the first dog, with very little effort on my part. Stonnie is a dog genius. So glad I found him.
If a dog doesn't come out of a litter saying oh where's Stonnie I want to pay attention to him, we call that dog a cat.

Stonnie, I think this series is fabulous! We are getting our dutch shepherd puppy in Feb 2018, and I'm so glad I found these. I've trained a few dogs, but it's been a very long time, and I like so many of your methods so much better than what I used. I just became a new subscriber, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Stonnie, I love how genuine you are! ❤️ I’ve been a new subscriber and student of yours for only 3wks and our newly adopted 7mo old German Shepard has come a long way because of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️ from Colorado! 😎✌🏽🐶❤️🙏🏾
Thank you Stonnie!!! Your videos are great. My family and I are getting a lab puppy in about a month. We sit down together each night and watch a couple videos together. The kids always look forward to it. You make training look fun and manageable. Can't wait to watch more videos and for our puppy to arrive. You rock!!.
I’ve seen loads of dog training videos over the past years since getting my GSP 8 yrs ago but this is bar far the best. You are a fabulous trainer. We will be getting a puppy in the next few months and this is helping re,ind me how to train my new puppy. Thank you.
Still cant say how much I love all your vids. Glad you seem to have stayed yourself over the years since these videos!
Hey Stonnie! Great work you are doing, i wanted to say thank you so much for your videos and the knowledge you are sharing with everyone!!
You are soooo awesome! Thanks for all of your videos! You make dog training feel so much less complicated than other videos and advice.
He didn't come out of the litter saying' hey! where is stonnie i want to pay attention to him ? hahaha crazy funny.

Love your videos. You explain the "why's " and "how's" of your techniques. It's broken down and just makes sense.
I am loving your videos Stonnie and I am seeking out small challenges for my 9 week old Doberman. Thank you for putting up such great information for us all to see.
This is such a needed video, we're on week 3 with our 6 month rescue, pitbull mutt and he's been doing pretty well. A lot of play nipping and crazy eyes when being pet, will start being stricter with his diet (2.5 cups a day) and rewarding him with treats when he's calm. Thank you!
I watched these vids years ago but I'm getting a new chocolate lab puppy at the end of this week so I'm back for a refresher!!! These are awesome videos for new puppy training. Thank you Stonnie
I have a blue cattle dog cross kelpie puppy that I got last Saturday and have been having problems with teething and toilet training. I've tried all other techniques including the Cesar Milan ones. I've been doing this technique for only 24 hours and she's a new dog. Thank you so much! She's no longer chewing us and she hasn't had an accident inside so far. She's not jumping or even being hyper. You are amazing.
Appreciate your videos Stonnie! We have applied your methods to our GSP pup and it has been great. We even love watching your videos as a family, good ole positive American guy. My daughter loves to day “Oh what a fine animal” god bless brother
Anybody else waiting for the "Common Sense Kid Training" series?!
Puppy comes home 11.14.20. I cannot tell you how helpful your videos are. Thank you so much Stonnie.
Best dog training videos i've seen. Great methods and logic with the dogs, clear communicator, not getting spammed with advertisements within your videos further proves the genuine nature you present! Glad I discovered you as you're now my benchmark for dog training and tips. Keep it up!

I dont need anyone to tell me how smart, how obedient, how friendly, how confident, how non reactive, stable, focused and talented my dog is. If you've seen any of her pup videos on KZread you will know what I mean. I have taught her most of the stuff she does my self with some help as a pup/pupster from a local working dog trainer. But hand on heart, watching all of Stonnies pup vids before we even got her is what cast the solid foundations for the the solid dog she grew into.

Freaking love you Stonnie Dennis!! Helped me so much.. love your attitude, energy and coaxing style and philosophy.
Super info for training a puppy. Easy to follow, makes perfect sense, and anyone can use method to begin getting a pup to start to be a great dog! I grew up in Lexington and love that area!
I have a 7 week old Golden and these videos came just in time for us. Thanks for the education !
I want to add, Stonie, that your training method seems like so much more fun than most of the other methods we see on KZread, both for the owner and the dog.
Thanks for the tips. Our family got a 6 week old black lab puppy, and these videos are really helping with her training!
Please don't take these vids down, my puppy arrives in two days, I am learning a lot, they are brilliant.

Stonnie is a great trainer for dogs & humans. I am loving these videos!
Hey Stonnie, this video, and all your advice has really helped us with our dogs. Your approach is so simple and so effective. Our yellow lab puppy is now sleeping well in her crate and our boxer/whippet is so much calmer and happier using your "good student training". I'm like "duh", I didn't realize it would be so easy and so fast using these dog-centric techniques to train ME to communicate with these "such a fine animal". Your methods should be the _only_ way to train dogs. If I come across any good goat training advice, I'll send it your way!
Thanks Stonnie. I love your videos. You have a great personality. I'm getting a GSD in a couple of months so these videos are great
Just found you and hey I appreciate that.
Seven years ago and still the best darn advice right there
Absolutely brilliant I love your ideas, the pup is so happy!

Gold mine of information as always Thank you Stonnie!
Dude you are on point. I have a 8 week old pit bull and your videos have helped me so much!
I am going to get my puppy in a couple days and your video's have helped me prepare a bunch!!
Very good videos Stonnie. I am bringing my black lab pup home Christmas morning. I haven't trained a dog in 30 years. Having searched for a good training series for several weeks I was overjoyed to find yours. I know I need training as much as she does. I will try to take some poor videos with my phone as we progress. Thank you for your professionalism and obvious love of animals.
You just got a subscriber for being knowledgeable and having an awesome personality
As a breeder, I appreciate your honest, direct approach and I enjoy sharing and recommending your videos. Thanks so much! btw: I searched for you on Facebook and wasn't able to find you. Awesome dogs!
I just adopted a mixed cattle dog today. Instant subscriber and thank you so much for all this content.
"Ah what a fine animal!" Gonna start saying that to my puppy
Just got a puppy I’m glad I stumbled on you’re videos! You sir have one fine animal.

Thank You Donnie for sharing your expertise, your enthusiasm and patience provided fun practical way to engage with puppies:)
Thank you so much for your videos. They really help me preparing for getting my lab puppy!
Awesome teaching on calm, I used this on my last rescue, it works so well that a dog that almost was put down ended up being one of the best companion dogs in the world. He’s now with a older couple.
I think you're absolutely brilliant and so thankful for your FREE videos!! I love your methods and can't wait to employ them when our new puppy arrives in two weeks. The hard work we do will pay off big time! I love the way you interact with the dogs and you can SEE that your methods are working....and working immediately!! THANKS again! :-)

Thank you Stonnie! Well, we have him now and he is 13 weeks today! He is a working line GSD and we named him Baron "Bear" for short. We are using your positive training methods with great success!! He is a super smart boy and by the time he was 10 weeks, already knew sit, down, come, stay, fetch and more. He is a very good citizen at meal time when I tell him to sit/stay and last to receive his meal in a home with another older dog and 2 cats. I think you do a great service by posting these videos and very, very appreciated!!! Thanks again! ~Jackie
I'm about to get a German Shepherd puppy, and I know how important the training will be! I stumbled upon your videos and I am so glad I did! You are so good, I love to listen to you talk! You make it look so easy, I just wished it was! So, I am going to check out your website for more information!! Thank you!!
I’ve been watching your videos for a couple months before I️ got my puppy and I️ originally found you because you trained malinois. (Which is the breed of my new puppy) I️ find I️ learn from your videos very well! Thankyou
Hahaha, Uncle Stonnie it is! I'm counting the days on 2 hands now before I pick up my pup, Gatlin Gunner, Aussie Shepherd. CANT WAIT! Thank you for posting. My time until then, I'll be catching up on all your vids!
Thank you for these videos. Really helps me to simplify the process. Fantastic.
Absolutely Excellent!!! Thank you from South Africa for all your unselfish helpful excellent (and funny) training videos!!! We're getting our Belgian Malanois in 3 weeks time :) Can't wait to apply your training!

Well, whatever it takes for your content to be out there and be seen by the world. We need stuff like this. Your whole philosophy can be applied to so many things it goes beyond dog training. Quick question: what would you say is the earliest you can effectively begin to train a puppy?

Great stuff ... huge fan of the common sense approach .. I’ve trained for years and I’m always learning .. thanks for sharing ... great stuff
Some people just want the world to be a better place. Stonnie is one of those people.
You sir are my light in my day, getting a lab pup Saturday, I’ve always used Kohler training, I’m actually being taught something on every video. I grew up on the yank and pull method. Kohler had some awesome training in his day we have new and advanced Dennis 2021 😂. Born natural We still don’t have name , it’s a Grey Lab Silver free doesn’t matter need name at a loss.
Sir Dennis! Hands down awesome... Straight shooter no bs. his 15 min vid would probably be a 1 and half hr vid by others on the web!!!!!!
You are the best Stonnie! I've been watching your videos for the last 3 hours! =)))
Oml he's HILARIOUS!!! And that Box pup is adorable 😍
Mr. Stonnie, Thank you for posting an interesting informative video. My thinking has been adjusted on some training methods. It is just plain common sense or logic.
i have checked many dog training videos, but you are the best, thanks
Many young parents would do well to take some of this as "advice in kind". Small children respond to the same kinds of things- and when you scream at them they understand about as little as puppies do!
I'm surprised you don't have a million subscribers stonnie. I think there's more than one way to train a dog but I really enjoy yours and I find your videos informative and equally entertaining

youre surprised because you idiots are as stupid as the 99 percent of dogpeople who seem to like it when dogs get diabetes and probably dies rom it aswell because you cant stop giving them candy everytime they do something good instead of praising them or play with a toy and tell them theyve done a good job
@CallduhAmberLamp
5 жыл бұрын
@@matslund2154 give them candy. What are you talking about. Did you not hear the part where he said the treats are 50% of the dogs rations. Everything is measured and accounted for. Stonnie isn't condoning over feeding. You need to listen better.
@matslund2154
5 жыл бұрын
@@CallduhAmberLamp stupid! i meant you dont give treats everytime the dog does something good, you dont need that imshit, imagine youre kid getting candy all the time he gets an a, he will be fat and have diabetes before hes 15 and itll be your fault, why be so stupid with your dog when you can just pet them and say they done a good job or use a toy, theres so many things that can be used as positive reinforcement, for example your dog likes to rush outside the door, if you get your dog to sit and wait til you tell it to follow you, you, letting the dog go pee will be positive reinforcement, use common sense, dont learn the dog ro get excited around food

@@matslund2154 you sir have missed the point.......
Just found your training videos amazing. You are so lovely with the dogs please keep it up
An amazing way to train, I'm really good with dogs and my last dog I trained to sit, lay down and come with both hand and voice commands and as he got older I petted him and praised him instead of giving him treats, but I will definitely use this method of training for my new puppy. I love the idea of using his food rations I didn't think of that I usually train in multiple short sessions cause I dont want my puppy getting sick from treats and it is better for puppies attention spans.
This is great advice. I also see dog training as one continuous fluid process.
I get my male charcoal lab (Barrett) in six days. I will be watching all of your videos over and over and I will send videos on his progress. Your videos should not be free I'd honestly spend money just because all the knowledge you have and share, it is far more detailed than any other video on the internet. Keep it up and thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for the videos. I'm picking out a Chocolate Lab pup tomorrow and I can't wait to get started with your positive way of dog/people training.

I love me some Uncle Stonnie! The ONLY dog trainer I'd like to hangout with. Maybe even have over for lunch! A man of good common sense... a product of good character. If he was on the west coast I'd send every new pack member to him!
I love watching your channel you present so much information and in enough variety to lend itself to so many situations dog owners may face!! Great job don't stop! I am picking up a "American" Lab puppy in a couple weeks from a reputable breeder it will a a family dog that sometimes joins me for some woodchuck and grouse hunting. I am a little lost on how I will be able to give it proper socialization due to where I live and not have an abundance of other dogs around. What are some ways to work around this?
Stonnie Dennis is top notch. These methods worked for my Corgi!
