    I have been an Employment Specialist Case Manager since 2006. It really has helped my self esteem. My 2 agencies placed me in multiple newspapers, internet articles, videos and on the radio. I helped my clients receive amazing careers and jobs they never thought they could do . I won 2 awards . The pay is low but wow! It raises my self esteem to become better every day. Some of the photos in the newspaper made me look fat.

They know that I would be am associate MFT but my concern is that I don’t know roughly how many hours I can count towards licensure as a case manager. Knowing what it’s like being a case manager do you think this would be a good fit for a future MFT to get more experience and be more well rounded ? Yes! I struggled at first with that but utilizing my own coping skills, having a therapist and going to God has helped me tremendously. Also shifted my mindset to not trying to "save" all my clients/students to only focusing on doing my job and thats teaching them ways to improve their mental health.

  • @Pushdaisy
    @Pushdaisy6 ай бұрын

    I goto a place for OCD mental health but all they do is give medication from the Dr or nurse practitioner. The case manager is so hit or miss I have had one read me off some code that they are legally allowed to visit my house when I was simply trying to have a conversation and tell him that I left them a message but since they don't check them it makes their assumptions make them look like assholes but they do not care and become disrespectful and hang up the phone type behavior. Obviously I won't speak to that person ever again he's half my age and even after like he'd be willing to have an altercation with me. A lot of places for mental health are broken and the staff is in dire need of mental health support instead of trying to control and overpower people who have come there on their own for some help with no court orders or anything just from willingness of their own.
