Great video! Just a reminder/tip. If you don't rinse off the 80 grit prior to putting the 120 grit on, you're not really jumping up to 120 completely since there are still 80 grit granules still running around in there. You want to make sure you rinse everything off completely between stages and after you're done.

I purchased mine a month ago (my first), and it usually requires a single click (left or right) to cut paper across the bed knife before each mow. I was able to quickly move from 5/4" to 5/8", and the lawn looks amazing. I'm very interested in seeing you do an oil/filter change, grease application, etc., and any/all other maintenance! Also, I can find nothing anywhere on the steps/tools required to remove/install the reel, though there's plenty of videos on changing the bed knife. Perhaps that's because a new reel requires a grind, and no one does that as a DIY project? (Am I correct in thinking that buying a sharpened reel isn't a thing?)

First i appreciate the comment and the support on my channel 👍🏻. I am not confident that a new reel would require a grind? I will have to look in to that. That is not normally the case with other reel mower as a backlap is normally recommended to mate the reel to bedknife. I will prob do a oil change and greasing video next seasons as i have already completed it and won’t do it again till the growing season. I hope to push out more content at that time on the greens mower 1000

Aren't you rotating tte blade in the wrong direction?
@dwaynesworldlawn

No. When backlapping you want to run the blade in reverse. If you run you mower blades forward you will dull the blade with compound on them. This is why it’s so critical when checking for sharpness to clean all of the compound off the reel before running it forward otherwise you will undo all of the work you did sharpening. Hope this help. 👍🏻
