    No grease zerks for bearings is a negative, not a positive.

    I can see your point, but you have to consider some people view less maintenance items as a positive.

    thank you for this. No one else provided the details nor explanation you did. I watched this multiple times and picked up on more each time. I literally manually pushed my lawn last night and it was tough. Realized later that the back bracket was too tight on belt. My belt was frayed and stretched. Got new belt today, replaced and now mower pulls me all over the lawn. 😅 Thank you for all you do and continue putting out great content.

    I just purchased everything mentioned in the video, minus the one floodjet nozzle. In the Aimela 6 piece nozzle set came with a nozzle that has an adapter. What is that adapter size so that I can purchase another one for my other quick connect? I'm new to all this, so thank you for the video.

    Found one of these locally that I’d really like to buy but I think it needs a decent amount of work and it would be my only reel. Planning on getting a 20” regular Mclane instead

    I can see your point. Not the worst idea considering they are temperamental in opinion and replacement parts are hit and miss. One thing i did not mention is the height of the handle bars are shorter than other mclanes, which can make it more uncomfortable for some especially if you are tall.

    Love my CT and wanted to point out that when the video first started it sounded like it had too much air to fuel ratio causing it to rev high and low. Maybe I’m wrong but mine did the same thing and after taking the carb apart was able to clean it and fix the problem.

    The 2 options that work best is either certainty or sedgehammer. These will be the best without hurting the Bermuda. An alternative option is to buy image but image takes for ever to work and is watered in vs. leaving it on the foiler. I know you can buy sedgehammer is smaller packets to save cost if you dont have a small lawn. Nice thing about certainty is that although pricey is one of the best herbicides to take care of sedges but also poa in the winter. Hope to is helps. 👍🏻

    You are having the summer we had last year - over 60 days of 100+ heat and no rain. Our water supplier put stage 3 restrictions on watering and my yard suffered so much. The chinch bugs took over the St. Augustine and I lost big patches all over the lawn. The Zorro Zoysia front yard withered and grew even slower (if that is possible). This year is totally opposite - we are already over 42 inches of rain and just got another 2.3 inches with an unusual July "cold" front. Temps are still in the low 90's but that is so much better than 100+! We are supposed to get more rain next week and the lawn is lush. I am mowing every 3 days and I will probably have to switch to every 2 days. So hang in there, things will eventually change! At least you can still irrigate!

    Welcome back! This year was the first I put down a pre-emergent! 😂 I always battled crab grass and just let it do its thing. Well, what a difference pe makes! I still have a couple spots along the edge where crab grass came up but it was an easy pluck. Few spots in the front, again it was an easy pluck. Im dealing with spurge in the front and purslane in the back yard. Had my sons plucking spurge today but it got hot. Ima guess on next video you will be spoon feeding for a good green up!

    Hi Dwayne - thank you so much for this video...Quick question, I got the whole thing installed but I can't get my blades to spin even with clutch all the way down. Is this where I need to make an adjustment with the cable positioning with the nuts?

  • @dwaynesworldlawn
    @dwaynesworldlawn13 күн бұрын

    I can’t say if totally. I will say that when adjusting the cable you only need to adjust one side of the cable. The only reason it’s double sided is because it needs mounting points on both side. Take a look at my belt replacement video as it will be helpful to adjust the clutch. Here’s the link kzread.info/dash/bejne/gXmdj5mvg7Cfmco.htmlsi=tcnaGQioS5uBWbTT

    Hi, Allett recommend that you either remove or raise the little grass rake behind the front roller if you are using the scarifying or verticutter cartridge as it can dig into the soil and degrade the battery quicker.

    It’s mid summer in New England, could I use this new Stay Green without worrying about burning my lawn?

  • @dwaynesworldlawn
    @dwaynesworldlawn17 күн бұрын

    I would not say it’s impossible to burn your lawn, but as long as you are following the bag rates it should be good to go. Make sure to water in right away and or plan to apply when rain is expected within 24hours. This will also help to prevent it from burning the lawn. Thanks for the support 👍🏻

    No grease fittings is not good! I’ve had cars that had no grease fittings and the front end parts didn’t last 15,000 miles! The replacement parts fortunately had grease fittings and they have lasted over 150,000 miles! Now obviously if you don’t grease them they won’t last but if you simply grease them once or twice a week they will outlast non greaseable parts exponentially.

  • @dwaynesworldlawn
    @dwaynesworldlawn18 күн бұрын

    Great point as it always nice to know that the bearing are getting the grease needed vs assuming the sealed ones are good to go.

    Sorry if I missed it but how many sq ft are you mowing with that GM1000? I’m trying to determine if the 21” width is good enough for my 6500 sqft or if I should go with the 26” wide GM1600.

  • @dwaynesworldlawn
    @dwaynesworldlawn18 күн бұрын

    6900 sqft. You can get away with 21 inch but if budget and space allows, the 1600 maybe a better option.

    Which “wheel still spinning” are you talking about? The actual black wheel of the blade fly wheel?

  • @dwaynesworldlawn
    @dwaynesworldlawn25 күн бұрын

    I was referring to the reel still spinning when not depressed if i understand your question.

  • @DeVincey
    @DeVincey26 күн бұрын

    Had a question for you, or anyone really. I recently had to replace my belt because the other one shredded even though I just bought it back in May. I replaced the belt and went to use it today but it felt off. Seeing your video reminded me that I forgot to put that green arm back in the right spot that is there to guide the belt. I’m not sure if this is what made my mower self propel by itself as I engaged the level for the assisted propel of the mower but my mower was moving on its own and the blade was spinning. To stop it I had to disengage the propel level but the blades keep spinning despite not holding the handle to engage the blades. The mower did feel more powerful at the wheel and jolted forward more and it definitely took more force to stop the mower. Wondering if maybe it was just that green bar that guides the belt or if the clutch needs to be adjusted? Any ideas?

  • @dwaynesworldlawn
    @dwaynesworldlawn25 күн бұрын

    The clutch arm and green back arm guide both have some adjustment. When replace with a new belt, even when set properly, the reel may still spin without the cable being pressed. This is normal as the new belt needs to be broken in. After a mow or 2 it should be good. If it still continues there after it may be set too tight causing the reel to spin when it’s not intended too. Hope this helps 👍🏻

    Ordered & received mine last month after watching Dwayne's World videos. Bye-bye rotary mower! The CT cuts like a dream! Leaves nice stripes on my low cut centipede grass. Solid build, this thing is a "tank". Shipping weight of 200 lbs. I'm guessing the operating weight is around 150 lbs. You have to think 2 or 3 paces ahead when turning it or mowing around tight areas and curves. The company has great customer service. I've owned a California Trimmer since 1968. I bought a McClain six years ago. Because of problems with bed knife, the mower not moving uphill, and bearings wearing out I pulled the old Cal Trimmer out of the barn, installed a new bed knife, New electric start engine, new chains and I now wonder why I quit using it. The bearings last forever if maintained, you maintain the bearings on the McClain by replacing them. you maintain the bearings on the Trimmer by applying grease. My Trimmer just turned 51 years old.
