Dang bro! I was just servicing my reel this evening. I did not know the fuel filter was reverse threaded. So thanks. My ONLY recommendation is to make sure you check the spark plug gap, even tho it’s new, to make sure it’s within spec. Like I have said before, you are a lawn boss. Totally appreciate the tips you always pull out in an effort to OWN IT!

Nice man! Nothing like some quality time servicing your machine! Great tip on the the spark plug gap, I find the bp4’s consist in there gapping but it’s always good to double check. I appreciate your support, I have a lot of content in store!

Agreed on the spark plug gap, but I’d also add a dab of anti-seize on the steel threads since it’s going into an aluminum head. Other than that, thanks for the video!

@@PrincessCutLawnCare I finally did. Got it for $200 bc it wouldn't stay running. Brought it home, took off carb, sprayed w carb cleaner and it fires right up. New plug and air cleaner and it's running like a champ. Going to add a roller to front.

Awesome Vid. Just picked up a greensmaster flex 21 in Chicago and plan on tuning her up.

@@PrincessCutLawnCare haha no. I did message her though. She said it was her dads, and he had sold it. I actually found it on OfferUp - I got crafty and searched for “green master” instead of “greensmaster” and sure enough 1 item popped up.

@@PrincessCutLawnCare Yeah, I saw you're from Naperville. Western Springs here. I am honestly not sure yet. It looks like they might be higher, but I don't know for sure yet. I found some kits online. Ideally I would like to be able to cut up to 1 inch.

I think the highest the flex goes is like .3-.5 inches but you can buy the kit from r&r to make it go up to an inch. The GM in this video has a max height of a half in as well

After picking one of these 04050 models up for a 100$ im jealous your airfilter stays on 😂let alone having a recoil, and kick stand lol

There should be a small screen in that fuel filter too.

Good work man! I wish I had one to work on. A fellow Chicago native flaked on me last weekend on a JD 220A. It was suppose to be my Father’s Day gift :(

Hey, do you know how to adjust the slow idle on the beast?

I'm getting ready to get into reel mowing. Should I buy a beginner's California Trimmer or McLane or immediately jump to the big guns with a Toro Greensmaster? Thank you!

You should get rubber zerk covers/bleeder screw caps, they are cheap on amazon. keep the gunk out.

@@PrincessCutLawnCare no problems. I have just purchased my GM 1000 and I have no clue how to fine tune it... Lots of basic vids on KZread about the GM 1000 but nothing that's intermediate if you know what I mean. Thanks for taking on the suggestion

The title of this video states "John Deere Greensmower", but it only shows work done on a Toro. Is all of this equally applicable to a JD greensmower as well?

Only 9 zerks? Lucky! Mine is a later model and it has at least 13. I can’t even hit a few of them with the style of grease pump you’re using. I had to get one with like a needle tip just so it could fit into tight spaces. On a side note, have you ever taken the reel off? I would love to see how to do that.

Oh man i thought 9 was annoying haha, i never took off the reel, but ive seen my buddy take them off to put new reels on after putting a relief on them. If i had the equipment to do it, my mower would be in a 100 pieces right now lol
