How to AVOID Autopilot and MIX UP your game in Street Fighter.

Ойын-сауық

Some people saying being random in fighting games is a bad thing, but as with many concepts in Fighting Games, if the intent behind anything you do is sound, then it can be a useful part of your gameplan. Let's learn how being "random" can be a great tool and how we can use this to stay off autopilot and adapt to what our opponent will want to do.

Me screaming "Shimmy Shimmy" which nobody can hear but mix ups are so fun. Appreciate the video. I ranked up thanks to the stuff I am learning from you. Won a local tournament as well :3

I have a mate who does this unintentionally and man it's quite interesting haha. I have trouble guessing, he never consistently wake up DPs. It's real effective, against me at least

NGL I'm gonna miss this series when it finishes. You explain things so well and I enjoy hearing you break the game down.

Appreciate it! There will definitely more to come. Footsies handbook is amazing but there's plenty of other things to talk about when it comes to improving at Street Fighter as well

This whole series was really good and it helped me as a new player. It would be good to have a summary video along with any more additional info.

Again super useful. Each time my opponent counter my habits, I try to be unexpected. I always try to shimmy on wake up (especially the modern opponents which can DP, it's so easy to do they often do it), and when the opponent counter it, I throw. When the throw is countered, I go for buttons. I always circle my options to be unpredictable. The order will also depend on the matchup. I also whiff a lot of lights when I know they can't be punished. I'm playing Chun, so I also do some light hasanchu just in front of them to bet the DI. This is 99% of my gameplan: to adapt, and to be as cryptic as possible.

Doing random or even "stupid risky" stuff very moderately is something ive always found strong. People get greedy for the punishes and start falling for the silliest things

It also gets into your opponent's head. "How did he get away with this?! Who does this?!"

This is great, I've been making my way through your library of videos, they've been really helpful. I've gone from iron to bronze! Woo! 😂 Thanks! One small gripe, the music (while excellent taste) is a tad too loud imo and is a little distracting.. maybe in future videos you can try making it a few db lower? Just my opinion!

Sometimes you just have to wake up and mash jab or DP if you haven't done so in a match. Well, unless it's a safe jump because then both options get stuffed lol.

When they call it "random" it's copium or cope to make themselves feel better When in reality it could be a read against their patterns.
