We're not looking souch for height adjustments, but more of where you should be in softness of stiffness when on trails or dunes and how to properly and effectively achieve those adjustments...height adjustment is just rudimentary stuff...what most people struggle with is cadillac or buckboard issues!...

Hey guys Im currently working my way through the break-in period of a 2021 850 XMR. The front shocks have what feels like play when the shock fully extends after the shock has been compressed. The "clunk" that occurs is felt in my hands its not a sound that I hear. The problem gets worse as the shock heats up. Any thoughts? these FOX Podium shock do not have a rebound adjustment also when I return from my ride I can lift the front end by hand and it feels like the top of the shock is empty but goes away as the shock cools or rests

When u set cross over can u set it up jacked up or does the car have to be on the ground?

So I have a new cage, spare rack & 3 gallons of fuel in the back. What do I have to do to compensate for that additional weight?

No you will not, raised mine 1.5” front and rear and no issues. The only issue you will run into is that there will be much more body roll so make sure you prepare for that or purchase adjustable sway bars.

What’s the measurements for the front?

This video is incorrect, that is not the oem provided information for x3’s with smartshox. Check the owners manual, smartshox measurements will be on the bottom of that same chart.

How bout you get them to add the O ring with the oil filter First oil filter i ever bought you have to buy the O ring separate every oil filter out there comes with the O ring. Just add a dollar and put it in the box makes no sense at all.

You know you dont have to bend a tape for measurement. A quality tape measure will have the actual dimension on the measure body.

So I just spent 34k for a machine that’s not setup right from the factory?

Do you think the machine will stay at factory settings through the life of the vehicle? Any sort of riding is eventually going to alter the settings.
