How To Add Table Lift Hand Winch To Hydraulic Shop Press To Make It Easy To Lift And Lower The Table
Ғылым және технология
Raising and lowering the table on a hydraulic shop press is a real pain if it doesn't have a hand winch to assist. Most inexpensive hydraulic shop presses do not come with a hand winch. In this video I show how we added a hand strap winch to the Black Widow Hydraulic Shop press. It was so easy, all we needed to do was drill 2 holes and add a bolt!

Great idea. I have the same press and have been sketching out a cable winch system with pulleys. But yours is much simpler.

Thanks! I also started out with the plan to use cable and add pulleys, but when I figured this out and only needing to drill one hole, it was a win!
I actually need to put that on my shop press. Great video dude. I'm also waiting on that tm-1 tool changer build. Did you complete it?
The only thing I see is that if you need to do an axle bearing (or the like) you'll need to remove the strap from underneath the table . But not a big deal, and it's simple . :)
That's pretty clever on the hydralic press 👍 Have you got an idea of how to upgrade the gearbox of the Pulsar Pro? This should make it compatible with an 11 volt battery.
You can use an impact to crank it up but nice and easy and simple

I was considering a drill, but turning it 90 degrees ended up being simpler.
