It's good to have the option for guys who feel like you, but the stock Warrior toe ties are the fastest, easiest, and most consistent setup in my opinion. They are a big reason I keep buying Warrior pads. The bridge on their old pads seemed better for guys who like to use traditional lace or Velcro ties, though.

Damn, that hook was working your cardio. Those things are a pain. I also prefer the bungee toe ties but keep the active heel straps (on the loosest setting) just to limit the vertical travel of the leg pad. In other news, what a wild, cool color set up on that set. See yas.

Interesting to see the details of the Warrior design before we get the pads:-) How did it hold up when you use those holes in the pads?

Rinks haven't been open since March here so... I haven't been able to test them. But I can't see any issues with the toe ties.

@@HockeyReviews Ahh ok that sucks if you don't have ice. My son has goaliecamp in two weeks so we will have ice I hope. See if he like warriors strap or I put the toe ties he is used to on there.

I would use the factory Warrior G5's toe ties but the clip won't go through my One Piece True Skates. I'll have to use my ProLaces just like you did with your Kenesky Toe Ties. Thanks for the useful video, I just hope it doesn't put too much tension on the toe bridge !

I found I had to wear the straps looser than normal fyi. Just because the connection point isn't hanging off the toe of the pad like normal pads.

*Have you been able to test the durability of using those alternative holes with the elastic bootstrap? I just bought these pads and I agree, the boot strapping system kind of sucks. Well, they simply don't work for me. It's a lot quicker (maybe) if they work, but I don't like how you can't really adjust the length. And in the store when I was trying these pads on, I found unclipping the strap was way harder than it should have been.*

I've been using the alternate holes since I got them and it has held up fine.

Hey What about the stock Warrior straps did you not like? I’m thinking about switching off laces and was thinking about trying these out before buying the bungee’s.

I don't like how they are big plastic clips, it is annoying to get through some hole in holders. It also isn't adjustable enough for my liking. You can't put it through the toe and then through the middle of the skate, or just through the middle of the skate, it has to be done a one way and that is it. If you like them than go for them.

It looks like there is a set of 2 circular holes below where you installed. Could that be where toe ties are supposed to go?

You could probably add a bridge if it ties in by putting it under the jenpro like I did for the bungee part.

Sounds like there is a strap somewhere that needs to be adjusted. Best place to start is with the toe tie.

I'll take the clips any day. They don't wear out like velcro.
