How to Add a New Displacement after a Load Step in ANSYS Workbench Mechanical
Ғылым және технология
A user will apply a load or displacement in one load step. In a next load step, it might be desired to apply a displacement to the already deformed structure. Suddenly turning on a displacement constraint (support) in a subsequent step by using “Activate” can cause the new displacement to be ramped up from zero, rather than from the previous load step position.
This video illustrates using the %_FIX% argument in an APDL command “D” to get the displacement to ramp up an from the position at the end of a previous load step.

Glad we could help!
This is too good. However, could you please tell me how to add force at the remote point instead of displacement?
