How to Model Nonlinear Contact in Ansys Workbench Mechanical

Ғылым және технология

The setup and operation of an Ansys Workbench Mechanical nonlinear contact model in which a gap closes during the ramping of a load are reviewed in this video. A variation on the model in which "predict for impact" is set for the contact pair shows how the moment of impact can be examined in finer detail.

i gotta a problem witch is similar, but i'm working with line bodies and it's not as simple as in the video to make the contact between those bodies. How could i get the contact working with lines, if it is possible?

just use two displacement boundary condition with normal direction free and it will goes down without bending

As far as i am concerned there is only non-linear contact. There exist no linear contact.
