This person reminds me so much of my first manager at IBM who still mentors me from time to time. He would spend so much time managing us and yet he was able to find time for the things that he loves, that is, research. I used to look forward to his meetings, because, after every meeting, I would feel rejuvenated.

Art of listening is bigger than art of speaking because a good listener is able to build human connections which is very important for success in any field.

Ankur what a talk. Deeply resonated with me. You spoke of why our people don’t open up easily to authority is 💯 true. Malcol gladwell tells a story in his book “tipping point” when Korean Air planes were regularly crashing and what they thought in the end was the reason: cultural. If the CO pilot did not show enough respect to the captain or maybe correct a decision, he could be slapped! Read the book to know how they solved the solution. I live in Karachi and we aren’t any different from you. People here are ready to for instance pay bribe even before someone asks for it, pre thinking. Like the quote at the end of your talk. Thankyou. You seem to be all heart and really enjoyed the talk.

Great perspective. If i would have to share meal with someone new every day.. i would probably meet less privileged ones... to feel what struggle they are going through, feel more grateful for what i have and probably sponsor the meal as well for someone for a day. Just imagine if every privileged person sponsors one meal each day to someone underprivileged! There's tremendous amount of learning outside corporate jobs and startups. Just need to throw away the facades we carry.

Hi ! Ankur.. This is really great if leadership start treating employee as human. If they really start loving and understanding emotions. If they genuinely think about the people and their emotional requirements. But here race is to explore more and more from.employee .I wish what you spoke off may really happen. I try to practice this empathy, nurture and emotional connect but no meter to measure this. As meter which I have been given by my office is KPI/ nos/ MIS . As monthly performance only value the MIS.

hello! Ankur, I wanted to say that I have seen many versatile videos on business, motivation, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and also watched and follow your Videos But really I should admit that your speech makes me feels like you really understand peoples feelings. I am saying this because not only for this particular video, there is one a very short video regarding Mental Health, hare I want to mention Full headline of the Video "3 steps to better MENTAL HEALTH shorts" so I watched that because I was a bit upset or stress on about someone's mood and after few times later when I am not feeling well for that I suddenly search on You tube "how I should feel when someone get pissed off from me by Ankur Varikoo, and I got that video, so after that I thought about my problem and easily I got the point when you said about the 2nd one that when the problems which are NOT on your control "Just STRIKE IT OUT" and I pause the video and thought seriously I shouldn't be feel stressed and I really feel relaxed again by admitting that seriously I can't control anyone's mood and I am back to my track. 🙂🙂
