Elliott West is the Alumni Distinguished Professor of History Emeritus at the University of Arkansas. He is the author of several works, including The Last Indian War: The Nez Perce Story, The Contested Plains: Indians, Goldseekers, and the Rush to Colorado, which won the Francis Parkman Prize and the PEN Center Award. And his latest book, which we are going to discuss, Continental Reckoning: The American West in the Age of Expansion.

*The Day That We Forget History, Is The Day That We Are Bound To Repeat It*
Very interesting episode! As Dustin said, you have to tell the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to history. Now I haven’t read Mr. West’s book yet but at the end if he’s trying to compare the atrocities committed during the westward expansion of the United States to what the Nazis did during WWII, well, that’s not wise at all lol nonetheless, enjoyed the episode gentlemen!
