Why would you have your cat taxidermied like this?
Wasn't expecting to watch a dental examination of a Wampa today. Thank God its not the full puppet.

I think that sticker Adam got is from the deleted "Wampa Scenes" from ESB! In the scene, C-3P0 rips what looks like a "Warning, do not open" sign off one of the doors in Echo Base in order to trick the Snowtroopers into opening it and being attacked by wampas. There's even a Wilhelm Scream!
@Zalifone

Yep! Here's the deleted scene if anyone is interested: kzread.info/dash/bejne/omR10cVtiJzcfc4.htmlsi=qz5vkeeYzJAr3O9j&t=226 The truth is, it's a better movie without these scenes (the Wampa doesn't look as scary as it could), but it's always nice to see extra Star Wars stuff.

There are a few Echo Base Wampa scenes with R2 & a few seeking to attack the rebels en mass, 4-5. I think GL was smart not to use the Wampa base stuff.
If you pause the widescreen Laserdisc at the moment the Wampa's arm hits Luke you can see the wooden handle attached up near the bicep! 👍😎🇦🇺💿

Interesting, I went frame by frame on the 4K80 version and I couldn't see any wooden handle, though in the 2nd Wampa shot I did notice that the puppet has no arms below the shoulders. Pretty fascinating. I'd never noticed that before.

Thank you so much for sharing what we make! Wonderful and informative video!
Adam: *busts out scope tool* Me:.... Because of course he has a cool scopey tool thing. Also me: HOLY CRAP! It has a TONGUE!!
For an 8 year old in 1980, who thought they understood Star Wars, watching the Wampa attack in the theater was so startling. "Aww, what a cute Tauntaun...AUGH!!! What just happened?"

My schoolfriend had a Wampa paw in a cardboard box. This was in 1982/83 in a small town outside London, UK. He said it was given to him by a relative that worked on the movie. There may have also been a head but that could be my memory playing tricks on me.

I just happened to be wearing my Empire Strikes Back shirt today. What perfect timing.
Adan, at the rate you are acquiring stuff, and the size of that stuff, you are going to need a Jay Leno size garage to store it all!

I'd wager he could open a small, walk through exhibit. "The Savage Movie Memorabilia Museum" or some such name. Hell, I'd pay to go see it all.
The attention to every detail big and small is incredible
I love it! Phil’s creatures always have a natural asymmetry to them… in doing that it just makes them feel real. I always thought they missed the mark with the special edition live action version… it just wasn’t right.
That would look amazing staring out of one of the spacesuits
I have been following you since I was 8 years old have always loved your stuff man. It is so cool to also have the same interest in star wars as someone I’ve been watching since my childhood.
I love your attention to detail on your reviews.
Thank you for your in-depth review. Everything and more I wanted to see with this creation you lovingly fan boyed over and allowed us all to enjoy this piece.
I love how excited Adam gets
2:57 ...thank you Adam for presenting the wompa monster to us...i remember when i first seen ESB for weeks after that i was scared to go to the bathroom at night and constantly had to wake up my parents to switch on the lights😸😸😸...Phill Tippett is one of the master god's of movie monsters for sure and his talent of bringing to life the movie directors visions is equalled only by giant's like Giger , Winston ...🤔🤔🤔
“Open up and say, “Ah”.”
I second the call for Wampa: The Movie
Only thing missing from this video is Adam walking the puppet along saying "Wampa! Wampa! Wampa!"
I love that one of his teeth is chipped, it's details like that that add so much character and history to the creature and create a lived in universe.
Wampa is both cute and frightening!
Anyone else hear Wamppa roaring sounds in their head, as we saw footage of what it would be like to become Wampa-food? Hey Adam, did you check to see if it’s been microchipped? Maybe it was someone’s lost Wampa pet on Hoth? 🤔
So very cool!!
Very cool!
That wampa actually does have a story, and there are other stories both in novel and comic form of the wampas if Adam or other people are interested in reading them...
I was half expecting to see a message scrawled in the back of the mouth that said, “Made you look!”

I got to say, Adam, that Wampa has a face that only you and I could love. I’m amazed at your exclamations of its beauty… Obviously we share a little bit of the same strangeness.
Hoth is my favorite planet in Star Wars universe. Wampas and Tauntaun are the only creatures shown to live on this planet. Every way I look at it this was a awesome video.
If only someone would look at me and talk to me the way Adam is talking to this Wampa!😂

The ESB book "From a Certain Point of View" has a lovely story about the Wampa.
Heck yea! Empire is my favorite as well!
I'll admit . . .Wampa dental exam was not on my bingo card today.
Yes! We would love a story about the Wampa!
Great video. ❤❤❤
WAMPA Wonderful 🌻
I would love to watch Adam do a live video of a story of Wampa from his perspective, sat next to it talking about how Wampa came to his fate on that 3 second clip

Love this creature
I had no idea that we'd get to see the tauntaun's POV and what was almost Luke's POV @6:39 ! What incredible footage and an incredible replica!
I never thought the inside so a Wampa's mouth would be so fascinating. :P
That's one amazing purchase ❤❤😂😂
Awesome
I was expecting to see a close examination of the ears and the horns! Also, does the Wampa have four nostrils as the Taun Tauns have? They both have similar horns so it would be interesting to see if the designers thought about both species having a common evolution ancestor
I'm glad Adam thought it kinda looked like Phil too
Adam savage is like the awesome uncle who would obviously give his nephews something like a lightsaber.
The puppet just made me realize that the Wampa is a white furred troll. Dude is just chilling (heh-heh) in his ice cave when some guy on a Taun-Taun is trip-trapping all over his roof, making the ice fall in.
It's like if wookiees evolved on Hoth
Level of detail that most will never see.
looks a bit like a troll up close, i like it.
He's totally Bumble the Abominable snow monster from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
It's totally Phil Tippet lol :) Love that grumpy old man, sitting here with my ED-209 3D-printed model and Japanese RoboCop figure...
I never realized the Wampa was actually angry Santa. :)

He's got the same hair stylist as you, Adam!!!
It was early Christmas for him. ;)
I've been watching myth busters and I can't help but think that's Jamie in 100 years living as a hermit
Need to say open up and say arrgh before sticking the boroscope in 😂
It is not the wampa. It is the WAMPA!! in honor of the kid in the original Kenner Empire Strikes Back commercial.
[unboxing halts while Adam searches for monster's adenoids]
Oh man. I swear I could smell its breath through my computer screen.
In the making of Empire, remember when they tried to get a really tall guy in a Wampa suit and on small stilts to drag a dummy of Luke in the snow and it wasn't working out for them, as the guy kept losing his balance and falling over? I later wondered, since it was just the Wampa and Luke in the frame and there was no sense of scale in that shot, since it was all just white snow all around, why didn't they just use a regular guy in a suit dragging a small version dummy of Luke? I thought of that years later, but I'm surprised they didn't think of that then.
Cranky, Old Wampa, "YOU KIDS - GET OFF MY SNOW BANK!"
where do you keep all this stuff? This is essentially museum quality stuff..... consider opening a showcase somewhere?
👍👍‼️ Cranky Phil the wampa
