The arc of watching James Marsden take Ronald from an obvious fan to being repelled by his "Hollywood big timer" act and then reeling him back in as a friend and doing the script readthrough sequence is really entertaining to watch.

Yeah well and he also knew that this wasn't a real jury duty. It would be completely illegal to give a course of order to be sequestered under the threat of arrest for contempt of court unless you actually have the authority of the California government. Would have been illegal for them to give him any fake government documents to sign. Or use any government letterhead. So at the very least he knew this was not a real court and that the sequestration order was not actually a legitimate governmental order. And that does take some of the fun away from the show but people need to think logically about this for 30 seconds

@@michaelcorcoran8768 yeah ... I just completed a week of jury duty on an attempted murder case and there was NO request for my ID (I just showed up and said "I'm Juror #X") and I didn't have to sign anything. Supposedly, I "registered" online, but if I hadn't shown up they probably wouldn't have done anything to me ... the judge said about 1/3-1/2 of those called don't even report for jury duty.

I just KNOW the producers were biting their nails when Ronald said stuff like 'this is like a reality show', especially knowing it had been weeks at this point. Because how do you hear that and then not get hurt when the truth is revealed? I loved the show but I still don´t understand how the jurors were summoned or called. Ronald volunteered to be part of a civil trial - which I believe was one of those trials outside the official court system - unless civil is different from criminal law in which a system randomly selects citizens who vote to be on jury duty. So, if it´s not based on an official jury duty call, James Marsdem could´ve walked away at any time... So, I wish they would explain better the juror summons part which is not clear to me...

What would happen if he knocked on someone’s door while they were at rehearsal? How did they all leave everyday to practice without him knowing?

they definitley picked the right guy but most people would have a blast with this and just go along with it, the production crew and actors is the hero to pull it off, not the guy who has no clue of all the massive effort to do it and is just living his life.

I disagree. If Ronald turns out to be a piece of shit or became upset with the end result, it all falls apart and doesn't become a classic. The actors and crew all knew what they signed up for and could hind behind their characters, Ronald was in a vulnerable position.

I feel like Kirk Fox is kind of recognizable. He’s in a lot of stuff, small parts but still.
