As a Veteran AND someone who grew up on the US / Mexico border, I have always thought the DOD should've paid more attention to cartel activity in Mexico than Middle Eastern Islamic Extremists. We now have a serious national security threat right next door. In the last 20 years the cartels have not only become better equipped with military grade weaponry and the training to properly implement it, their budget far surpasses anything our government can compete with. This has gone way beyond an immigration & economic issue and should be considered as seriously as if it were an army of terrorists. It's going to take more than just Texas standing up, but with California's leadership already being extremely liberal and Arizona turning more and more blue, it looks as if Texas will just have to keep taking care of its own. I'm proud to call Texas my home and will always support and defend it.

Back in the late 70's when the Arellano-Felix cartel was establishing their drug routes along with Escobar, Chapo Guzman worked for AF and then started the Sinaloa cartel. The Rio Grande river was already a crossing point for smugglers of dope and humans, that never changed. The cartels were at war with each other and EPIC and our agency got weekly reports of all the shootings.

I'd like to see a lot more and I mean a lot more people like our military FBI and everybody else out there backing them up so none of them gets hurt we need it here at our border to protect us and our war not somebody else's😂❤
