That's actually not inaccurate. Pirate ships were run fairly businesslike with things like voting and disbursement based on position. Captains' powers were actually limited, except when it came to battle and the Quartermaster was often chosen to keep him in check.

Fun fact: pirate captains would hold meetings somewhat similar to the one seen in "At World's End", where they would discuss who owns what land and what ships as to avoid conflict damage. It's entirely possible that, at one of these meetings, a pirate could've arrived with a wooden leg, and the rest of the captains said "That looks intimidating, I should get one too when I inevitably lose mine"

There are a lot of historical mentions of pirates voting though, so the idea that a bunch of them voted the design to the first Jolly Roger isn't that far fetched. The first guy we know using one was a Breton guy named "Emmanuel Wynne", it might be older but I could see his crew being involved in the design (the more you know). That was in the early 1700 so Captain Morgan didn't use one no matter if a certain rum brand tries to tell you otherwise.

@@Lavonne9870 Yeah, but is that really worth the job? You can get shirts like this pretty cheaply but CGI is a whole lot of hard work. It is like when Marvel decide to use CGI for She Hulk instead of using an actress with the right build, that is the main reason why the show cost them so much ($235 million). Sure, that is a far worse case but it still illustrate the issue, the simplest solution tend to be the best in many cases. Real shirts look real with far less work and you can find them for something like $30-35 each. Sometimes, it just isn't worth complicating things.
