Thank you so much for the information! I wanted to comment on MD RON prices, "Maryland allows remote notaries to charge up to $25 per remote notarial act to cover their costs and expenses" and each notorial act is $5 totaling $30, again thank you for the content. I recently received my MD Notary commissioned , already subscribe to your channel for future tips. Also, Blue Notary is not an approve RON platform.

Thank you. I live in Maryland and it’s my understanding that $30 is also for ipen, plus $5 for travel, plus .67 per miles. So that’s pretty good, but working with a platform that wants to know your rates, it’s hard to judge in advance. I think I will give them how far I’m willing to travel and base my rate on the max. What do you think?

@@robinsomerville7393 what do you mean by working with a platform that knows your rates? Are you talking about when it comes to loan signings? If you’re notarizing a document for your own client with general notary work you can change whatever you want (as long as state complaint) and charge the customer off the IPEN platform.

So I spoke with someone from the Maryland SOS and she said ipen notarizations are the same as regular notarizations as far as rates. That means $8 per notarization, plus $5 for travel, and .67 per mile. I stand corrected but this is the official response.

No wonder why its called Blue Notary. We're all dying of depression in the 5 dollar states. I guess Blue Notary is a way around that. I will have to write my legislators to advocate for trying to make a living off of this. I have to see if we can charge for the costs that are associated with the signings.

  • @sidehustleseattle

That’s a great idea! Some states allow you to pass on platform costs to the signer. I’d be interested to see if a state you’re in would be open to that. Best of luck!
