Thank you for all the in depth videos you make! I am a real estate agent(no luck with that so far) so I have been thinking of taking the course to get my Notary and then LSA. I can charge 2 dollars per signing here in N.Y. I planned on doing this full time but it doesn’t seem like it would be very lucrative. What is a realistic salary for beginners? Thankfully my husband makes good money but I want to make my own(at least 8,000 per month). I have limited free time weekly as I watch my grandkids a few days a week for 13 hours a day.

On the NY website it’s kinda confusing they do say $2 but also says this “An Electronic Notary may charge up to $25.00 per electronic notarial act performed. The fee may be charged for each notarial act performed during one electronic session.” I would call them and confirm. Realistically it takes a while to spin up business and takes a good amount of marketing to really get the ball rolling. Full time RONs can make 6 figures but realistically expect to make closer to ~ $1k/month in the beginning and it’ll grow from there but take time

The insurance part is confusing me can you just tell me which to pick? I’m brand new so I have to start off as a notary public. Should I only purchase the insurance for signing agent ?

You mean the errors and omissions insurance? So most companies just want you to have 100k worth. You can go to the national notary association, select your state and then choose $100k.

A lot of states don’t require citizenship you just need to be a legal resident of the state

Yes you can notarize a document for anyone in any state

HI, it appears that NNA does not offer $100k E&O for Texas.

I just went to the site and they had it. When you’re on the E&O page it’ll default to 25k. Right below it says customize your coverage just click there

Biberk E&O plans are more robust in coverage per atty.
