wow this video comes at an interesting time for me. I'm moving to Austin, TX next month to take a shot at playing poker full time. My bankroll is 10k and I plan on spending around 1k of it on training sites/coaching. I'm planning on running it up in 1/2 and 1/3. Planning on taking shots and moving up to 2/5 when my bankroll hits the 15k mark. I haven't played poker in Texas area, but the games I play in New York I average around 12bb in 1/2 and have had some luck in 2/5 but with a small sample size. I hear the games in Texas play bigger/deeper, knowing this should I stay in 1/2 and 1/3 longer and do you think taking a shot at 2/5 with 15k is enough if the game plays deeper?

@@chriswilkins2291 Good luck on the move, Chris! I live in texas and I play at TCH Dallas regularly. I think your game plan for your 10k roll is spot on. 1/2 in Texas is damn near 2/5 in a casino. Texas games are better than anywhere in the country. Also, since you haven't played much 2/5, just buy in for $500 and get the feel for it. No need to buy in deep at the beginning.

@dth stk I've play live poker the past 4 years and I'm and played poker and have the 12bb/hr in 1/2 is over the last 500hr sample and I'm only 21 and have the luxury of not having a lot of responsibilities so I am willing to drop a year of my life to go for a career in poker. I already know what I'm going to do if poker doesn't work out, but I would rather take a shot at playing poker professionally then looking back in the future and see that I didn't even give it a shot. Also thanks for the input and criticism.

@@monkman-modest-genius-72 yeah absolutely and he plays 5/10. Watching people pump out 1/2 content is a snooze fest. 2/5 is ok but 5/10 is super fun to watch. Unless it’s 2/5 or 5/5 is Texas.

Your 110 percent right
Loved your Poker bankroll wisdom. You started at the bottom, and through hard work, discipline, frugalness, and constantly improving your game you rose up through the ranks and succeeded!
Your insight to playing poker is absolutely brilliant. You’re always playing your opponents hand and strategize based on,”what’s he repping?”, and you talk your way through this process to your viewers. We are all better players bc we learn this from your videos. Most channels just highlight big winnings, big sessions and just don’t teach you how to be better at poker and explaining the different levels of thinking that’s required. Your videos do this effortlessly and professionally. Always a joy to watch and learn from you Lex! Thanks again for all your videos.
Thank Lex! We appreciate any and all advice you give! Its awesome watching you grow and play!
Awesome to share with us how you got to where you are. I began watching this channel out of boredom one night and liked the video so much I liked and subscribed. This guy wears his heart on his sleeve and gives us great content. As far as the dropped chip goes , that’s what the dealer is for. He knew exactly what happened and before anyone could say anything the dealer pointed out the dropped chip. Nothing to feel bad about. Not like you bet out of turn or folded out of turn. Just shows good character that you felt bad and weren’t sure how to act on the situation.
This is your best content yet. I am a professional long term 2/5 5/10 used to play Hard Rock a lot many years ago. Great advice. Its important for people to really understand.
One thing I wish you’d talk about is how you deal with the regulations of being a pro. What I mean by that is things like how you get pre approved for an apartment without pay stubs, if the IRS wants a percentage of your annual earnings, do you just pay for life expenses with cash or do you make deposits in your bank and when they ask where all this cash comes from, you just tell them you’re a poker pro? Also, I’ve learned so much from your vlog over the past few months and I truly believe your content is the most beneficial of any of the vloggers for any aspiring poker player, regardless of the stakes they’re playing.

these things don't matter if you're playing less than 10/20. the bank isn't wondering where you get your deposits from if they're just a few thousand here or there. unless you're a goody two shoes who cares about being ethical to the system or something LOL but the system dgaf about you and if you're broke one day. Most poker pros are smart, logical people so they aren't giving their hard earned money to a corrupt, greedy system. i know exactly one full time pro under the 10/20 level who actually files taxes and he voted for hillary clinton so that tells you all you need to know about him.

I can help you with the apartment question as a realtor, One: most apartments only have a couple requirements. Don’t be a felon, don’t have terrible credit and make 3x monthly rent gross. If you can meet those requirements, all you have to do is provide bank statements showing cash deposits monthly equaling 3x or more monthly rent. The same thing goes for residential leases, most landlords really care about having a large savings and all that.
Great video! A lot of players seem to prefer to not discuss their specific bankroll journey so it’s great to hear from someone that has had success that doesn’t mind disclosing. Love your work, thanks for the content!!
Videos like these push me to keep saving and make poker a full time reality. Thanks Lex!

I think maybe be better just to quit playing for a while or very little until you have that 30k with no debt unless it's house or small car loan
You are one of those vloggers I respect the most, you actually ran up your roll instead of riding the vlog/sponsorship/merch money to higher stakes unlike some other content creators. Much love brotha, you're one of the real ones

By far the best vlog in regards to content and this was the most informative in regards to bankroll.
I like that you are this transparent about bankroll management. Two other poker vloggers did a live Q&A recently and wouldn't give serious answers to any of those types of questions.
Thanks for talking about bankroll management. Super helpful!
Great content and the bankroll suggestions + personal path of your own bankroll was great to hear! Taking shots is scary but it's a must!
Very cool to explain in details how it is for a professional poker player to grind and make a living. Much appreciated for telling the facts and no window dressing. Wishing you the best in your endeavor.
Great channel, Lex! I appreciate the bankroll advice. Thank you for taking the time to add that segment.
Great insight on the bankroll management! Appreciate the candid discussion.
Great bankroll advice Lex! Keep em coming and I will continue to promote you here in Vegas! Your very easy to root for to succeed!!
I appreciate this info. I’m a recreational player and only play 1/2 or 1/3 during my visits to Vegas. I now know my bankroll is more than adequate. I have realized that the game has changed and become tougher with all these solvers and range and but advantage concepts. I’m working hard to understand and cope with that
I have seen a ton of your vids, Lex. This one was really informative as I plan on being pro in the near future. My bankroll grows! Keep them coming!
Taking shots is one of the best parts of poker!! Nothing like taking that leap
Lex, you are an honest person and I trusted you.
The chip rolling in was the universe’s way of making sure you didn’t slow roll this man 😂.
Great advice lex. Getting out of the 1/2 grind was the best thing that made my roll grow.

Great vlog, Lex. Solid analysis, especially about snap call of a bet - likely doesn't have anything or would have thought about re-raising. Appreciate the bank mgmt stuff too.
great video bro 💯 best and most logical advice i’ve ever heard on the bankroll management subject.
Great topic and content. Thank you Lex!
Great video, and great information! I really appreciate it Lex!
Great content man. You’re a great ambassador for poker. This vlog is great for the game.
Really great video, Lex. I appreciate all the guidance and advice.
Loving your videos man keep it up! Bankroll management talk helped me a lot in this. Thank you
Great video Lex!! Thanks for the advice on bankroll management
I like how you put two separate categories for cash game poker. I give myself a requirement of 20+ buy-ins for cash games in general. 50+ if the player pool is hella tough. I am a 2/5 player. I have only played 5/10 online (6-max) a few times. 5/10 treated me well but I wasn't willing to play it regularly just to be safe. I am right now sticking to 2/5 hoping to move up to 5/10 eventually.
Really appreciate the info. Thank you for sharing your story!
Great video. You are a hidden gem of poker vlogs lol
This is great stuff and incredibly accurate
Great video and thank you for being so transparent
Great advice on bankroll management. Thx!
Probably the best vlog I've seen, and I doubt I've missed more than 5 or 6. Best wishes on your journey out of FL. Hope to sit with you again. Like someone else said...no idea why your subs are not approaching 100k. Maybe find footage of Brad/Andrew/Vibes sessions and put them in the title...and just flood with video from the past with their "cameos"...perhaps silly, but it seems to be working with many of your "peers"...seen their subs nearly triple in the past 30 days with all their TCH/Vegas vlogs that tied Brad/Andrew into them. I don't know....just want to see you get the recognition you deserve.
Excellent video !!!! 👏👏👏👏Good job my friend, please keep it up!!!
Excellent vlog! First time watching and new subscriber. Great to hear your story! Embrace the grind and keep getting those pots shipped your way!
Great video/advice, this should be the number 1 bank roll video on KZread
Definitely my favorite to follow
Thank you for being real man I truly appreciate your vlog. You helped me a lot be safe and well
I agrees with your concept of bankroll management..
thanks for this vid, would love in the next one for you to talk a bit about what's profits vs what's used for paying bills, neccessities etc and what stays in the bankroll for moving up and how to manage through that
This is a great video. More players need to watch and take notes. Everyone thinks they’re a pro but consistently lose. I would love to do a meet up game when I’m FL in March.
Awesome awesome sharing bro
Thank you for sharing your bankroll story.
One of the bests poker channel on KZread
That was a good intro to bankroll management. I would also like to hear your thoughts on 1) Cost of traveling [I would think that you need to add $2-3K per month if you are on the road]. 2) What rake is worth playing and what rake should you avoid. [My local casino takes $6 in rake + $1 for the bad beat with hardly any comps. This basically means that you can't grind the $1/$2 profitably]. 3) How to get better in order to move up in stakes [Books, vlogs, online course, poker coaching, message boards???].
Great advice Lex, love your vlogs
I like the discussion you in over for bankrolls
Awesome content and really solid bankroll advice!
Another great vlog Lex. Hope to see you again soon.
I have a career where I make good money. I play poker for fun and take it very seriously. It's a nice side hustle for me. Good luck, amigo. Love watching you play bigger!!!
I love the vlogs Lex! Keep up the grind
Hi Lex, have been followed your channel for a while, a big thanks for Australia, it helps a lot. Hopefully can quit my shitty job and play poker professionally. Keep your good work up.
appreciate the info and the vlogs keep em coming

Man, this was an awesome video!👍
Great as usual, I started playing for extra income tracking every session since March. Thanks for the information about the bankroll. I am married so to get the OK from my wife I am totally transparent with her she knows exactly my buy in my winnings, my losing every session, for me that works.
love your videos man, very informative and i want to also go the route for playing poker full time if possible. i play a lot of 1/3 for the most part, 1/2 if i ever head to one of the other casinos near me. hope to meet you one day lex 👍🏼
Wish you success and good luck on your hard job! 🍀👍🏻
Thank you Lex for this post I’m a new poker player that wants to move up. I’m leaving my job in February 28 I will no longer work I will just be playing cards. I rarely lose at 1-2 never played 2-5 do to the fact I’m in Az they play spread limit yuk I know but I built a nice bankroll at 1-2 or as we say 2-200 here in the valley. I’ll be ready after my 45th birthday to play poker full time in March. Hope we can meet up one day and chat about bankroll stuff. Keep grinding my dude you are one of my favorite vloggers
Lol i love the buildup on poker vlogs b4 the river and it’s like “i totally miss” 😂
Love ur content, meet you once at the HardRock, you was very cool, I was playing 1/2 and table had broke and I made $1000 profit like in 4 hours, saw you just chilling and I told you I was using your tips on my session. Hate to see you go, but you go to do what you got to do! #goodluck
best video so far.
Sweet VLOG that really helps the up and coming poker players. Did you do a lot of hand studying? How did you approach the game differently from 1/2 to 2/5? What books did you read? Thanks lex! Appreciate the content.
Hey, keep up the good work. I subscribe to several poker blogs, and I like yours the best. Keep going you've got a gift.
Awesome video as always.
Thank you for this information very helpful for me. I’m in Houston working a job for a while. I’m a rigging supervisor working in the refinery’s. I’ve been playing poker at prime social, 88 poker club and Texas card house. I had the best week playing 1 3 N.L won 13000 yes that’s right 13000 in a week. If you get to Houston I would love to meet you and play poker with you good luck on your games brother.
I think if your playing with your chips and it falls out of your hand into the field it should stand as a call. Your responsible for the outcome for playing with your chips.

Great video Flex’o poker
Thx for all u do man ,,awesome
Great video, much respect to you
Ofc, everyone is different. The stress of risking money, which is ultimately your food and rent, can impact folks differently. If you find you're avoiding playing for no good reason it might be b/c you don't want to *risk* your food/rent. Some folks may only need 6 months of living expenses saved up to avoid this stress while others need 2 years worth. Try to keep your job as long as possible and when you quit, make sure you have an easy path to get back into working.
Wow 🤩 Thank you for your information ℹ️
Great video, thank you.
