That hand by Patrick was very well played (and lucky). I wouldnt dare try to say how any of these professional players should play their hands like so many other clowns have. However, I've had checking the nuts comeback and get me in the nuts too many times. Scooping a min. pot with a boat, nut flush, or whatever it was trying to set up the big hit. When it works out like this hand did their is nothing better. But it's very rare that I try this play anymore. I'll just put some small sizing out to start with and if they fold after the river then so be it.

That was as standard play to check the flop out of position as you can think of. How is that even considered to be a mistake? And that game was recorded like 10 years ago with a totally different, ultra tight meta game back than. The fact he took that 1 minute to even consider folding, and called 9's full is impressive. think before making any comment.

What happened in the first clip did Phil fold or did he call, bc he said he had a straight but if he won, which he had the better hand so he should’ve said his cards

For sure...I just commented somewhere else saying I could play this hand 100 times and I'm calling every trip. I'm not good enough to lay that down. Then theirs people who fold but they fold any time their stack is at risk. Then you have those that can either make great reads or just that good who can actually lay that down. But with that texture I'm always calling.

In the laak and Schwartz hand, why was he flopped dead? If Schwartz hit running queens his quads would have been good over laaks boat. Unless I missed some information like someone else at the table folded a queen pre flop meaning there aren't two queens in the deck for him.
