How Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Pushes Legendary Pictures’ Monsterverse Forward - The Story So Far

Monarch is the mysterious thread connecting the world of the Monsterverse. With Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on the way, there’s a lot coming to this multiverse! Monarch has roots spreading through the entire storyline, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters should tell us more about the history of creatures like Godzilla.
In the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters trailer, Kurt Russell plays a character with a lot of secrets about Monarch. Apple TV will be home of the Monarch legacy series that will finally (hopefully) explain Monarch. Cast members are in place all over several decades spanning the story explaining the “legacy of monsters” with Wyatt Russell even playing a younger version of his father’s character, perhaps even before the time we first met King Kong in Kong: Skull Island. If you think Godzilla (2014) was the beginning, it actually goes much deeper!
We’re exploring the history even before that and through Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs King Kong, and even the lesser known parts of Legendary Pictures’ Monsterverse. Some secrets of Kong: Skull Island start to spell the truth about the central Skull Island, Kong, “hollow earth,” and more. Does the hollow earth theory…make sense? Does it matter? We’re exploring it all here on IGN for Godzilla week!

So the lead-in to the big release of _Godzilla x Kong_ is the series _Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,_ and Legendary decides to premiere is on AppleTV, thus ensuring that almost no one will see it. Great move, guys.
You forgot the graphic novels: Godzilla Awakening, Godzilla Aftershock, Skull Island Birth of Kong, Godzilla Dominion, and Kingdom Kong. Those are canon to the Monsterverse.

First episode was awful, second episode took 32 minutes to even get interesting, hopefully episode three picks up the story.

The girl commenting make it sound like none of this makes sense uh duh its a sci-fi monster movies its not supposed to. All the MCU make no sense either yet people still watch it. Just accept whats going no matter how ridiculous it sounds lol.

no, they are killed by the mini titans that inhibitted the island there, the island is pooped out from the hollow earth and the gate is closed by the island itself.

No, there was a storm that wiped out 99% of Skull Island's human inhabitants. The kid was the only one who survived. When Monarch found her, they took advantage of her connection with Kong in order to keep him from destroying or escaping its containment facility.
