If you watch the Kong: it says he's still young and growing. But pretty sure he'll have a exponential growth spurt once he leaves that island, which seems to effect the age of most that reside there. Kong will probably get the title King when the world witnesses him fighting Godzilla as an equal. And he'll probably be about the same size as Godzilla by then too

@@ondonda3663 im at 7 now. Lol maybe 8 this evening. Ive been explaining much of the special parts of the movie that relate to history and he had no clue. He liked it but didnt know a lot of the details. It is such a salute to the fans and to TOHO and to Mr Honda and Mr Tsuburya and Mr Ifukube and all the rest that started it all and worked so hard to continue the legacy. I dont compare Shin to this. Shin is its own storyline. 14 was a decent start and this hits it out of the park. This isnt the actors movie. They have been granted a part in the historical legacy. All the nuances in the movie didnt need to be explained. If you know some history it touched your heart. If youre a newbie out there, so be it. You have missed a lot over the years. There was so much information in the end clip headlines that added a lot.

That's just it. Kaiju movies just don't sell with US moviegoers outside of a nitch fanbase. The Jurassic Park/World franchise sells, but not Kaiju.GvK does have the potential to break out because it has a true "Event film" clash of icons air to it.

I like it, it's Zilla 1998 in my mind. It doesn't need to be Godzilla all the time to like, so yeah.

The reason Western Godzilla's cinematic universe succeeds compared to the slew of other failed cinematic universes that other studios have attempted to launch is because Legendary is actually taking the time to develop it. Godzilla has over half a century's worth of films and lore to build a cinematic universe around, establishing a story that expansive requires many years of work. We're three films in already and we've barely scratched the surface of the Western Godzilla's universe, it's fresh and exciting and I can't wait to see more.

I have to say, I LOVE how they handled Rodan and Ghidorah in the latest movie! They were so cool to watch on the big screen :)

The Monsterverse is the only shared universe that I care about now cuz they have built such an awesome mythology of monsters and historical fiction that seems legit and fictional at the same time, while getting the Monsters right. I want the Monsterverse to live on after GVK, and don't let cynical"critics" ruin my love for kaiju movies. Long live the MonsterVerse!

Godzilla KOTM was great. Hopefully the MonsterVerse will continue after Godzilla Vs Kong, I wanna see other Toho monsters in a big budget Hollywood movie.

Regardless of what happens with the Monsterverse continuity, there won't be a sequel to GvK until after Toho releases their next Godzilla film.

Come on man, people dont need reviews to watch monsters fighting monsters and not to mention its godzilla for fuck sake who doesnt want to watch godzilla? It doesnt need a really good plot. I meant obviously it would be monsters vs monsters you dont need a really good story for that.

I worry a little because, with how huge Ghidorah was, it's hard to imagine how Kong could possibly compete without being a lot more buffed. As speculated tons of times now, they probably will only have one or two smaller fights, but then something like Mecha King Ghidorah or something will be brought in as an "enemy of my enemy" boss that will put off any sort of "official" result between Godzilla and Kong.

Here after the cinematic experience that was Godzilla: KOTM, I'm ready for these 2 giants to clash ! King vs god, Beast vs Monster, an Ancient war in the making !! I hope they make 20 more films on the monsters

Godzilla king of the monsters was so much fun to watch. I certainly hope that they will continue after Godzilla VS Kong, it would be silly for them not to, something like Godzilla VS Mechagodzilla or MecaGidorah. there is still so much they can do even after the fight against King Kong.

I would love for the monsterverse to continue!

I sure do hope Godzilla vs Kong is successful. A whole series of monsterverse movies will be amazing.

I went to see this movie as a complete Godzilla noob. To give you an idea, I didn't even know that him and King Kong are set in the same universe. So here's what I thought about it. The story largely made sense, which is pretty rare for that type of movie. They usually heavily rely on suspension of disbelief to actually function, but with this movie, there was only one part that really grinded my gears with its nonsense. So, uh, pretty good. I can't say I was emotionally invested, but I wasn't expecting to be either, and some characters were likeable enough that I enjoyed watching them (I LOVED Charles Dance's acting, he's always such a treat to watch). Even though I didn't know that much about the franchise, the movie was able to explain its main points pretty clearly, so I never felt lost or confused. It DID make me want to learn more about the other kaijus, which, I think, is a big plus. So that's also really good! About the special effects: they got better and better as the movie progressed. I was pretty disappointed that I couldn't fully SEE many of the kaijus (Mothra, especially) BEFORE the final fight. The rest of the time, they were shrouded in fog, or water, or whatever else, which is understandable (CGI is hard and very expensive), but if I noticed it, maybe it wasn't subtle enough. Still, the final fight was incredible, and the kaiju designs (or adaptations, renditions however you want to call it) were overall awesome! I thought that the movie presented an interesting conflict, since technically, both sides in this aren't completely opposed. I was looking forward to where they'd take it, but unfortunately, a lot of its main points got resolved in unsatisfactory ways in my eyes. It was a bit disappointing to see such an interesting and nuanced debate being introduced only to be completely killed by a couple of "fortunate" turns of events. I almost wish they hadn't been brought up if they were only meant to go nowhere. The characters were diverse and believable. There was never a moment where I felt like a certain character behaved in an odd way, or took a decision that wasn't in line with their overall persona. The movie did a great job at making the story feel large in scope. You see the characters travelling a lot and it FEELS exhausting. There are believable explanations for why the kaijus travel from one place to another and such, so that's all really good. There was only one point of the movie that got me emotional, and it involved kaijus, not humans. But that's okay, as I mentioned earlier, I wasn't expecting to be moved, I just wanted to see dope monsters. So overall, I'd give the movie a solid 7/10. Good, fun to watch, would maybe watch again. Plot was decent, but I wish the movie hadn't made such obvious use of fog and other natural elements to hide parts of its kaijus and save up on CGI. Since I also wasn't emotionally invested, I can't find it in me to give it a higher score than a 7. I also didn't feel any particular attachment/reaction to any kaijus, beside Mothra. Which I ADORED. So yeah, the movie was good, really good. Great? Maybe not, not to me at least, but that's okay.

When watching Godzilla King of the Monsters. It is a ride you will never forget. So hang on tight.

Fun fact: Did you know that Godzilla 2014 was originally going to be 600m tall? Edit: it was 600 feet tall not meters, my bad.

Kong was hurt by bullets? Last I checked Kong was immune to the military fire from the choppers And take into account that he was shot at with m134 gatling miniguns with bullets of 7.62 mm at a firing rate of 853.44 m/s. KE=1.2 mv =1/2 *(0.0254kg) * (853.44 m/s) ^2 = 9250 Joules (9.250.16988672 more specifically). In other words every bullet had a force of 2.21 kilotons of TNT and Kong wasn't even phased by them. Its sad that many of you can't differentiate the Pj's version from the Monsterverse version.

@@shinjithenegotiator2795 The helicopters used where Huey Uh1 Iroquois equipped with M134 Gatling miniguns. Yeah the guns used by the soldiers Where M60's. But guess what. M60's and M134 have the same firing rate and the same bullet caliber. 2800 ft/s or 850 m/s with a caliber of 7.62 mm Yet he wasn't even phased. Next time you try to prove something wrong check your information first

Like you said Kong could get the electric powers in GvK whicg would be a big help since he could disrupt or at most outright disable atomic breath since the MUTOs had EMP for that sole purpose
