Inspired by @TheBonsaiZone 's recent video where he counted all his trees.. I (bravely) decide to count all mine.. even though my wife will watch this! 🤣
I add an extra level of difficulty though - by trying to name all the species too!

Daggum! That’s more than I would have guessed for sure. And you weren’t joking when you said you haven’t met a Port AF that you didn’t like. So many tropicals! Makes for quite the Bonsai Shuffle at the season’s turn. Respect, brother, respect 🫡

I don’t know what my count is but I know My count went DOWN drastically this year - primarily due to also ‘counting pots’ . . . and 30 ish single pots turned into 2 single forest pots (the shimpaku forest and redwood forest) 🤣🤣

You got a proble Jay !! Lol Tons of beautiful Bonsai!! We have 2 burning bush in the yard, Colleen heavily (not Bonsai) pruned them hard last fall. They're coming back beautifully! Ohhhhh 72, 104, 118 was super nice !! You forgot to count the "volunteers" around the shed 🤪 We think it should be called "Coton Easter" I just 63 at the start !! Have a great weekend!! Quite a collection! I honestly didn't thought that high of a number.. Buuuuut the more the merrier 😅 At least you have to spread your love and not suffocate one or two trees with too much care 😉🧡❤️💜💙💚💛

It is an addiction for sure! I'm scared to count mine. I'm jealous of that larch forest! I think you need more flowering trees now. Lol Your collection is looking great! It was such a fun video to watch.❤

Nice collection Jay. Are you fully booted for the Canadian Winter storage? At least that's something I don't have to worry about too much in the South of the UK but I can understand your liking for tropicals as it gives you something to work on throughout the year. Take care. 👍👍

@@BlueJayBonsai I hear you. In recent years I've sold some trees to focus on the ones I like. Also, about 3-4 months ago I had 3 large trees stolen from my yards (worth about $800-1,000).
I would say your count was spot on.I knew your addiction was catching if not surpassing mine

@@BlueJayBonsai that they do. If I take my ginkgo seedlings and put them into pots my count will probably jump 40. I’m going to have to have a ginkgo sale. I didn’t think I’d have as many as I do that sprouted. I was thinking maybe 5 tops out of the 40+ seeds I planted😂🤣

I would never try to count my trees i allways stop at 250 and just look at the rest and start over only counting the ones in nice pots
