With this greenhouse set up, the trees wont ever go into dormancy? I heard its important to let them go into dormancy in the winter to keep them healthy?

🌟Hi Hoang. These are tropical trees/plants. They don't need a winter dormancy. 🐦💙
Great set up!! I definitely need a full room tropical set up so in winter I can park in a lawn chair in the middle of it with sun glasses and a book 🤣❤️🙌

Aw man I’m glad I got to see Derricks collection!! I met him at the kw bonsai show and we talked quite a bit, I wish I knew to ask about the snow rose I haven’t had luck with that tree and his cascade is awesome!!!!!! Good to see a video from you Jay Levi and I enjoyed this one!!

Hello Aaron, Reach out anytime but to be honest I think it is luck and I might have picked up a genetically stronger serissa (snow rose). I also think variegated ones are easier to grow.

What about a nylon stocking on the drain going into the bucket. That should filter out all the debris before it the water enters into the bucket. Works for me on my wash machine and 5 gallon dump buckets.

Great video as always. Could you share more detail on the watering system he’s using? I have a lot of trees on my balcony and it’s getting very difficult just using watering can. Don’t want to run a hose from faucet as I don’t like using water straight from tap. Thanks.

I forgot to mention that my lights are all on timer. Starting from left to right. 6:30 am to 1:pm, 9:00am to 3:00pm and 11:30am to 7:00pm. I am trying to simulate the movement of the sun. It also helps me keep the temperature down. I plan to increase the times as we get closer to spring.

The Stone pin can ne keep indoor for real ? I want one butt i dont Buy because the plant was in a commerce and its winter so i cant realy put outside like that

The Italian Stone Pine is a USDA Zone 8 plant, for colder climates, it has to be brought indoors. It can’t tolerate the cold. I think that is why the US Big Box stores select it for a live indoor Christmas tree
