how MANHUNT proves rockstar has no stones | Manhunt review

Ойындар

With GTA VI right around the corner and 10ish years of GTA online Rockstar games has become a shell of its former self, Manhunt takes us back to a time where they weren't.
MANHUNT is what a horror game by Rockstar Games looks like and it is quite fantastic! I think it's definitely an improvement just in gameplay feeling from Grand Theft Auto Vice City but not that that's necessarily a fair comparison. Neither would it be to compare it to GTA 4 or GTA San Andreas because they are two completely seperate genres.
This is a game that they made on a whim back in the day when they used to crank out all kinds of different games to see what the people liked whether it was Midnight Club Los Angelas, Red Dead Redemption, Bully or EVEN THE PING PONG GAME. That one is truly the best out of their entire line up.
But regardless, I just hope you enjoy this 20 minute video. It took me much longer to do than my usual shorter style, but I had a great time making it and covering this beautiful game!
What you have just watched is one of our game reviews where we breakdown some of our favorite games review them in an action pack review. Our style is inspired by people we love watching like ssethtzeentach, mandaloregaming, videogamedunkey, and martincitopants, but of course we add our own touch and a metric ton of memes.

This gem was from a bygone era when people actually had stones. You know, when someone talked smack and you beat the shit out of each other which subsequently forged a friendship spanning decades? I have fond memories of this game. This is such a family friendly episode. It’s actually quite educational because it proves that with parental supervision and strong values; anyone can play hyper-violent games without becoming a criminal or even acting out on those urges. In fact, a study proved (empirically) that playing video games reduces aggression. The exception being those that are already predisposed to acts of violence in which case the parents are at fault for not being involved enough in their child’s life.

I was 14. I played the hell out of it. With manhunt, context mattered and they gave it no justice. It was basically just a criminal of lesser crime killing and picking off complete cold blooded thugs, murderers, and psychopaths. The game was awesome. It also high lighted corruption In the police, As they made the character, “cash”do it. Imo it was just splinter cell with a different theme, gore, and outcome objective. Guy was killing killers of greater magnitude to earn his freedom. He was literally being hunted. It was kill or be killed.

I don't believe there were any games as realistically violent as Manhunt during the 2000s. The hunters in the game also don't help. Besides the sane people, you're dealing with nazis, pedophiles, and psychopaths all throughout the entire game. I think besides the violence, some people were offended by that.

you said it yourself. CONTROL. why would someone want to control and restrict the sale of a piece of entertainment that they find distasteful? is it the "games" they are trying to control? OR IS IT YOU? if you can control the way people think you can control what they do. they don't try to ban that stuff anymore because that just makes people MORE interested. there's an old saying, "if you want to write a New York Times bestseller, write a book that gets banned". also, it's been 20 years, plenty of time for the culture warriors to infiltrate the gaming industry itself to change it from the inside. now if you'll excuse me. there's a cool superhero game sequel about a superhero that has been kicking ass for 60 years and i am excited to get to the missions (plural) where he enables and encourages two underage teen boys to sodomize each other. and you get to play as the superhero's girlfriend! her missions are awful and she has a head like a big toe! and the game isn't woke, it actually has a smoking hot female character in a skin tight black bodysuit *shesalesbian* so i'll have none of that talk, thank you.

The sad thing is there are so many "gamers" around the world who'll still buy GTA 6 without any prior knowledge about the current culture, wokeness, esg or what they are missing.

Can we talk about the impeccable editing? Very family friendly, very well presented, extremely valuable addition. I was already a huge GTA fan by 1999 and loved GTA 3 and remember playing GTA Vice City at the internet cafe while the other kids were playing freaking world of warcraft. So being the GTA fan I was already the outsider...but damn I played like 3 mins of Man Hunt and was like "This shit's extreme, even for me". I'd probably have loved it in the privacy of my home if I had a PS2 at the time
