@@ZzVinniezZ thats not necessarely the case all the time Many times denuvo doesnt actually get removed from cracked games they just have a way to work around it Meaning that even pirate games suffer from the performance impact denuvo has Honestly the only thing we can really hope to happen to help performance is if the developers itself remove it in its entirely like doom did In any way they arent going to see a single cent of mine while the game still has it

Edit: Nevermind, Deep Silver is involved with PAYDAY 3 but it's the same thing I said about PLAION. They're only the publishers.

the reason for using denuvo and the game being online only is clearly to actually make it impossible for people to use DLC unlockers and pirate the game. Basically ovk hasnt given a shit up until now, because they made all their cash out of DLC sales. Somehow they thought that was not enough and they felt the need to fuck everyone in the ass.

@@vallarfaxgaming while denuvo can be used for that purpose, its main objective is to prevent pirating the product, similar to account validation with online only.... to prevent hacking, the best mehtod is with client authority checks and enforcing server consistency, all things that can be done with 1 click in unreal engine, so no, denuvo is not there to prevent cheating in pd3. Besides, why would people cry? pd2 has had tons of cheaters for ages and nobody seems to care.

Ironically, payday 2 got so boring even cheaters stopped playing it, that really is something. And speaking of cheaters, I gotta mention the cheater tag you'd get for using a dlc unlocker because you didn't feel like paying MAD Dosh for 90% of the content in-game just because the company almost went bankrupt and they gotta recover, which is their own fault.

"online only" meaning the game will die when the publishers decide and you get to do nothing, because third party servers aren't supported. you know that all battlefield games and even cod4 are still alive because of this? the gaming industry is involving at a pace that shouldn't be possible

It sucks so much. Last year I bought splinter cell blacklist for 5 bucks to play it in coop. Only to find out it doesn't have lan, and the servers been shut down. So I can only play the singleplayer. Meanwhile we are replaying chaos theory in coop online through lan. So I can play games online that came out in 2005, but not games that came out after 2014? It's just sad.

My guess is they're cautious for a fuckfest similar to payday 2 and they don't wanna drag it on for 10 years if it does fail, so they can just bail whenever they want to without having to pretend that their game is still fine while brainstorming for ideas to keep the game alive. They pretend to be excited that payday 2 reached 10 years but in reality, none of them wanted that, it's just that payday 2 was the only thing standing between them and bankruptcy.

The moment I saw that you needed to make an account for their services to play this game I uninstalled. I just want to play like Payday 2. To clarify it’s not only the fact it’s annoying to put more requirements for me to do before I play a game it’s also the security risks of giving your email to a fairly new company and hope they don’t give it to who ever they please or worst someone can get your email through the services they force you to use not for the sake of making the game more fun (Payday 2 worked just fine with Steam, no their party services). I just want to install a game and play, not sign up to get useless spam from the company itself or who ever they sell it to.

Even though there may be some bad practices announced, I don't really see why making a third party account turns you off? I mean sure, when you buy a game you do already want to play the game, but making an account takes around 1-2 mins only and allows crossplay lmao I have a feeling that Payday 3 will be a great game, I just hope if they ever add microtransactions, they give us players who bought the game a way to get them, and make them only usable with cosmetic items and not gameplay stuff

There’s one part of this video that does miss the mark: the original creators comments. The version of PD2 that many players identify with is very different from the original version of PD2 that the OG studio heads intended. PD3 is made by many of the people behind the PD2 many current players know about and is more in line with the original vision of PD2 despite this.

@@billforson3143 calling it a UE5 flip is being extremely uncharitable for what is some of the most satisfying FPS gameplay in years. I found myself struggling to stop playing the game, even with the copious amounts of bugs in the beta that hindered progress. It is that "tough as nails" game the first one was, having replayed the first two for PD3. Ulf Andersson is the only one of the brothers who had real contribution to the game design, and he was gone from the company in 2015 anyway. You wouldn't call Red Dead Redemption 2 soulless just because Leslie Benzies didn't work on it, would you? They still have guys like Martin Waern in the company, the development just isn't a product of Ulf's vision anymore. Tbh, his last game GTFO wasn't exactly the greatest, anyway. It’s an amalgamation of good concepts executed poorly, much like launch-day Payday 2. He is far more apprehensive of microtransactions and other practices than recent Overkill, but to call the game soulless is just an insult to all the devs who worked hard on it.

I have "only" 2029 hours in Payday 2 and i wasn't sure about getting 3. Mostly because, as was mentionet in the video, current devs aren't the same ones that made 2. But also because i'm not sure if they won't abandon 3 less than a year later like they did Raid WW2 (the only game that i ever pre-ordered, kinda don't regret it it's a fun game). But after this video i'm not sure if i will get it, the whole predatory elements list is a good reason to think about.

Have watched and enjoyed many of the videos on your channel. I liked Payday 2 for a while, but eventually it got old when I realized there were only about 6-7 missions that were viable to stealth (regular bank, shadow raid, Firestarter, the jewelry store missions, and only a few others). Due to only being able to answer 4 pagers and having craploads more guards to deal with than that, and few effective ways to track them that didn't risk being detected. The new one throwing in Denuvo, a cash shop, and being always online though... big oof. Great video by the way.

Idk what it is about these videos, i discoverd this channel a week or two ago and these videos are addicting. I've went through just about every video and even rewatched some of them multiple times. Good work cant wait for more.

This is honestly the best video you have ever made. I also notice most of the really positive previews are from content creators who popped up out of the blue in the last year or so and were propped up by overkill and given special access to the game. When I wanted to see previews and looked up pd3 on yt it was all literal fucking who people who were flown out to play it in Sweden.

I mean I got special treatment when it came to the beta for no god damn reason except I complained, and then i complained about the xp problem and they fixed that as well. I thought the beta was decent, that bank had heavy vibes from the bank heist in payday 2, like the whole map layout was very familiar and considering i farmed that heist stealth hundreds of times i felt at home in the one map they gave us access to. But the catch is I'm not Gunna buy the game cuz I'm getting it free with game pass, I have no stakes in this. And even if I were to buy the game, at least it's only $40 as opposed to the $70 most current gen games are going for. I really wish I could play by myself offline though, that would be a reason to buy the game. I bought payday 2 three times for myself and four times for friends so I wouldn't mind spending money if the quality is there. But since it's online only I won't be spending money on it.

are u sure you saw only the youtubers that popped up last year? I saw mortifer, generalmcbadass, hollow, kknowley and a few others from my own country and people that played other games, all of these people have been making content for many years, most of them at least 5 years

What about people like MarioInATopHat or The KKnowley? They liked the beta a lot from what Ive heard and theyve also been open about their gripes with Payday & OVERKILL

@@bcmm1880 glaring issues you mean… writing? Because since fixes and release of extended cut I never had a problem with this game outside of writing… and writing in me 3 still miles ahead comparing to andromeda especially when it comes to dialogues.

I was afraid of Payday 3 being doomed from the start when Update 237 came out, The radio silence was concerning, but a couple of days after the update they released the gameplay trailer for PD3. Did they mention anything about the crossplay problem? No. but as soon as premium currency for the game leaked onto the Epic game stores, they were QUICK to defend that it was "only going to be cosmetic". ok thats cool, what about the crossplay problem? No? ok. they only announced it like a week after the PD3 trailer released but even then, they blame that the main reason why PD2 no longer had linux support was because the OS was "using an outdated version of the PD2 engine" which is bullshit because if that were the case, then wouldn't Linux support stop after 100 updates ago before Epic crossplay? These were to me early signs of worse things to come and I was very concerned about the future of the Payday franchise. But when I made a video talking about some of my concerns for the game, many of the blind consumers told me "not judge a game before it comes out", and these are the same people praising it despite them probably not getting access to the beta to say otherwise. So judging it is wrong, but praising it is perfectly fine? Wtf kind of hypocrisy is that? Fleek, I pray for your safety after making this video. I hope you don't have to go through the month of constant death threats and other comments that get filtered out of the comment section by default. I'm happy that someone was at least able to shine more light on the situation about PD3's problems even before it's launch. There are no wrong opinions in what you said, only facts. Don't listen to the blind consumers.

This has got to be the best review experience ever so much effort, and I'm not talking about the game I actually barely care about it. FLEEK YOU OUT DONE YOURSELF, ONCE AGAIN.❤❤😂😂😂

You should still form your own opinion on it regardless. I found the video entertaining and informative but I'm probably still gonna get payday 3 if it turns out to be good at least (buying it day 1 however? no, not to mention I don't even have the money for that). Gameplay wise it seems still very good but how they handle monetization is definitely something to be very wary of.

a lot of progress is shown, the only actual problems this video showed is the always online DRM which I guess is needed for the crossplay? who knows, but I hope they make it like Payday 2 with offline mode
