why THE WARRIORS is rockstar's best side piece | The Warriors Game review

Ойындар

Pimps come out to pla-ay. PPIIIIMMPPSSS COME OUT TO PLAA-YYYYY!
In this The Warriors game review we are going to be cover all of what makes the warriors a fantastic and fun brawler. It's Rockstars try at melee combat, considering they make a habit of avoiding it all together in games like GTA San Andreas, Grand theft Auto V or even Manhunt to some extent.
One note as well, you can still buy this game digitally on PS4 for $15 as I did, but make sure you play it on the PS4 and not the PS5 because that version is said to be quite scuffed.
The game falls more into the brawler or beat em up genres rather than the open world crime sandbox GTA made the company known for. It feels almost like Sleeping Dogs, Sifu or even River City Ransom to some extent. Although that's making big reaches because all those games are wildly different from the warriors they really only share the similarity of beating everyone up.
Also, the concept and story itself are based off the movie from 1979! But I feel they not only honored it but expanded upon it and made it even better. Fully fleshing out where the gang game from and how they rose to power!
All that being said, I hope you enjoy this the warriors review!
Thanks again to the MADE MEN for funding this video.

Sad that Rockstar stopped making IP games like this. They used to make a whole lot of original games, and The Warriors is one of them. It's also a licensed game too. Which is based on a classic 70s movie. This is the best place for our Pimp to be in.

The first Max Payne wasn't developed by Rockstar, I don't think. But R* has developed a nasty habit. They take things that were done well in one game, then go on to not repeat it in the following game. People love to glaze over RDR2, but it has many flaws over Redemption. It seems like the company is more obsessed with graphics and insignificant details than actual gameplay these days. It's certainly the case with RDR2.

  • @John-996

    3 ай бұрын

@@SeymourTiddiesRDR2 does not really have many flaws Gunplay could be tighter and a hardcore mode could be added Also there allot missions that give you freedom but others that are too restrictive. Witcher 3, Skyrim have even more flaws but they are still great games. Rockstar were making a Cold War Spy Stealth game at one point which i wish they had made. Manhunt showed they could make a great stealth game. With Bully, RDR1 and 2 and GTA series they have shown make amazing open worlds. With RDR2 it was originally more realstic like Kingdom come games like RDR2 and Witcher 3 focused on doing more realstic movment Which i love but they were not perfect. Rockstar never stick with the same combat activites or even Features in their games. At the end of the day Todd Howard Said it best, "We can do anything we just cant do everything". Open world games that have amazimg combat offten have lacking stealth or gunplay or they have great gunplay bad melee or bad driving or like im case of Rage 2 great gunplay with a shit open world. At the end the most important part of an open world is the open world and what you can do in it. Also rockstar do care about gameplay as the biggest Goal is making their games more Interactive and reactive so you not just having Combat and Shooting as the only source of gameplay.

Play it 3 times as a kid. Finished it twice as an adult. I really loved the game! Thank you for reviewing this masterpiece!

This game was close to me, it was the only game my dad showed interest in when I was growing up and big thanks to you pimp for reminding me about it. My dad is a huge fan of the film, quotes it all the time and went to America to go on the train route from the film, I don't get the whole cult following but it was the happiest I'd ever seen him so power to him. I'm gonna give him a call today and see how he's doing. CAN YOU DIG ITTTT?!

Played this loud while I did some stuff around the house. Five minutes later, my very Italian-American neighbor, Rocco, came to the door, a perplexed look on his face. “What da fuck are you _watchin’?”_

Decade and half ago I remember the Warriors got a surge of cult popularity when it was finally made into DVD. The movie was a hit with friends and family like it just hit theaters and this gem of a game came out soon after. Good times.
